Although long thought to be lost in antiquity, the Not So Sacred Shroud of the not particularly ordinary non-saint John Not The Apostle is now being made public for the first time (since last time)!

As you know of course (and if not you should be ashamed of yourself for such ignorance!), John Not The Apostle was the original founder or "acharya" as our Indian friends say, of the Not So Holy Roam'n Church and its not-famous nor overly Holy Saw (or was that See?), located in Roam mania (which was once located in Geocities' luxurious Athens Delphi community -- until getting its own domain name here as AllFaith.com. Alas, the loss of the Roma'n Church was apparently more than the Geocities corporate heads could bear! They sold the site to Yahoo in deepest despair. Alas again, without the active presence of the Non-Saint and his Roam'n Church even Yahoo -- that bastion (or was it bastard) of cyber trustworthiness and dependably (yeah verily I maketh a funny) -- could not save Geocities and so it finally gave up the ghost -- another sad statistic of the cyber purges of the Year of Our Lard 2009. It will be missed (surely by someone). And so it is said (well it could be said!), that as with everything else that has ever gone wrong in human history, this too was doubtless the fault of John Not-the-Apostle! Praise the Cheetos and pass the remote control there's a rerun of Bonanza on!

At first it was believed by some guy at the Ranch House Steak House in Chamblee Georgia that John Not The Apostle had been conceived of a virgin! However that was due to an honest misconception. You see, when John Not The Apostle was born some saint uttered in holy disgust that it was "inconceivable" that such an unattractive baby could ever be born of a human female! After all, the saints and sinners alike agreed, babies are supposed to be cute! What in the name of all that is holy and just had happened here! This innocent comment was misunderstood by some nabob to mean that his birth was not produced by normal conception (i.e. that it was in-conceivable).

Others, seeking to understand the nature of this unlikely abomination, insisted that he was surely the "Son of a Dog", but once again this honest speculation was later discovered to just be an insulting comment that had been taken a bit too literally, so to speak. It is now widely acknowledged by all but the most brain dead and fervent members of the long defunct Roam'n Church that the non-saint was actually conceived in and un-interestingly enough, born in, the changing room of the downtown Atlanta Sears store on Ponce De Leon Boulevard (or was that Avenue -- I'll have to check the not-so ancient scroll of Prophet Deaddude the Forgetful).

Of course what matters is not his birth, though utterly ordinary it was -- save that the babe was so God awful ugly! What is celebrated is his death. Indeed and verily, his death brought joy to many people, and not just to those who polish their teeth with bug spray either! Billions of people from all around the world were, ah well, awake on the very day his death is rumored to have happened! Of course, it hasn't happened yet, but most authorities agree that one day it will! "Oh what a glorious day that will be" as the hymn says (or was it a her).

The earliest account of his Not So Sacred Shroud stems from the days of ancient Rome. According to the feeble minded scribe Phoneous Maxipad, the Roman legions were all given the day off (with pay, not bad eh?) to celebrate the fact that the founder of the Roam'n Church -- whose name only coincidentally resembled the name of their precious little empire and that other church group of whom you may have heard tell -- was dead as the proverbial door nail -- but was he really and what the heck is a "door nail" anyway? As herstory (we must be equal in all things) records, with the legions all drunk, Rome fell -- but that's another story.

In any event, little did these ecstatic legionnaires suspect that the non-saint's earthly remains would be glued to an old shroud and secreted away to the future city of Touring Around Aimlessly (which many say the still roaming Roam'n Church will eventually reach and finally cease to roam -- well, one guy said that anyway), thus giving rise to what some other guy at a bar in Ormond Beach, Florida might have called "the most insignificant and uncared about mystery of all times" -- had he ever heard it -- but then, why would he have.

Indeed! That shroud WAS taken by night and hidden from disinterested eyes! It traveled throughout the known world for many many years (at the time of this writing we're not certain about the unknown world but we'll check on it... maybe tomorrow...). Through wars and revolutions (not to mention Coup de' Villes) the shroud was ignored and thus never messed with (save perhaps by maggots or similar beings).

Then in 1942 it served the people of Paris as a doorstep. According to tradition (most of which I'm making up as I go along), none of the people of that sleepy little Texas town who stepped on the shroud day after day -- many going to and returning from the Achmed's Liqueur Emporium (Achmed Gets You Drunk For Less! �) -- had any idea that under their very feet was one of the most irrelevant thingymajigs of the ancient world (though it was said that some of them thought they had perchance stepped in cow doodee or some similar substance and hence rubbed their feet on the Shroud extra hard, this perhaps explaining its rich aroma). But how can we blame such Texans for their not-knowingness, living as they do in the occupied US and dreaming of the day when the South rises once again and their Confederate currency is again worth more than a mere tourist item to be sold to and then reproduced by the Chinese and sold back to them by your friendly neighborhood Walmart collective? Judge them? I shall not! Yeah rather, pity the poor oil barons like the Bushes! May they find plenty of baked beans to eat! Surely they could not have known -- and many have publicly testified to me in private that not only did they not know -- yeah, that in point of fact they could not have even cared less had they known, and, indeed, it was told to me by not a few of these good Texans that if I didn't get out of their yards and stop trying to interview them, they would call someone named "Bubba" whom they felt certain would "teach me a lesson" of some kind. Alas I didn't have the time (nor the corporate funding) to wait around for Bubba and so I never learned my lessons -- difficult is the life of an historian!

Finally, in the year of our Lard 2010 the shroud finally surfaced again and today it serves a truly noble function.

Yeah I say, verily and fore soothe, under the caring and lovingly crushing boot of a tax mad illegal immigrant dictator -- born in Kenya and naturalized as a citizen of Indonesia -- our Constitutionally ineligible president -- whose cousin only happens to be a dreaded African warlord (now be nice!) -- reality really is stranger than fiction -- the Shroud today serves as a reminder of happier, more gentile times when government leaders at least tried to looked like patriots and the Supreme Court still deemed the Constitution somewhat relevant to its rulings. But most importantly perhaps, the Not So Sacred Shroud Of John Not The Apostle today provides a momentary distraction for people in offices and homes the world over who have nothing better to do with their precious and fleeting time on Earth than to sit in front of computer screens reading this kind drivel!

So praise all that is sort of non-holy in a warped kind of a way!

Determining Our Origins: Young Earth verses Old Earth

I received a question/comment today that stated that "Genesis is wrong scientifically."

Is it?

The poster listed his evidence, which basically amounted to the fact that Genesis does not agree with the "Old Earth" theory of evolution.

I've been thinking about doing a study on this question for some time... but not right now... but here are a few thoughts.

What is your view on this?

Hi Mike,

Biblical creationism verses evolutionary theory is not an area I specialize in personally.

Understand however that comments such as "The earth was formed 9.2 billions years after the big bang, not even remotely close to each other in time periods..." are based on the assumption that the ever changing scientific theories are known facts. If that were the case, the scientific theories would not be constantly updating and changing as their researches advance.

At this point neither side of this argument can conclusively prove its views objectively.

Understand also that no serious scientist would state that 9.2 billions years after the big bang such and such happened. For scientists all such dates are approximations at best. Also, many serious scientists, including Eisenstein, reject the validity of the whole idea and today most scientists reject the Big Bang theory as envisioned originally. For instance see:

If you seriously wish to understand what the proponents of the "Young Earth" theories say and see the evidence they offer, I would suggest going to the Institute for Creation Research: http://www.icr.org . This is the area they focus on. You can contact them about their views and I suspect you will be surprised at how solid the case for Creation is.

There is also another view that holds that Genesis offers two different creation accounts:

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

This is given as a stated fact with no detail on how or when the initial creation occurred.

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void...

The Hebrew word haw-yaw, translated in the King James version as "was" ("the earth was without form") is more correctly translated as "And the earth [became] without form...."

"Form" is translated from the Hebrew word to'-hoo which literally means not that it had no shape, but that it became (haw-yaw) a desert wasteland, void --without usable form.

It is held by some therefore that the time and exact methodology of the original creation of the universe is not given in the Bible, that some great catastrophe occurred about 6000 years ago according to biblical calculations. This would be easily within the margin of error of what is accepted for the start of the present warm phase (the Holocene) that some believe followed the sudden ending of the Younger Dryas period, about 11,500 years ago; in geological terms as conceived by the Secular sciences 3000 - 4000 years difference is nothing. Such a climactic event could easily alter our readings of the fossil records that much. This view answers most of the arguments of the "Old Earth" scientific opposition without refuting the "Young Earth" view.

This is not the "black or white" issue both sides wish to make it appear. We are still trying to understand many things.

Again, this is not an area I am that interested in personally. The icr.org website does have a lot of solid evidence you might wish to examine if you are sincere. Look at all the evidence before writing off either side.

Many "Bible Believers" reject scientific evidence out of hand when it seems to contradict their religious views, and many Secularists reject all biblical evidence as well as scientific evidence that supports the biblical model, when such evidence challenges their views. In both cases it does not speak well of human nature.

Does God REALLY Give Us Freedom?

This question was asked on one of the AllFaith Groups. I thought my reply might be of interest to some here.

What are your thoughts on this topic?

--- I Agree that we have choices, God's gift we call a free will, but do we really have unlicensed freedom of choice?

My reply:

Pretty much yes, within the confines of mortal limitations.

That does not mean we can do anything we want and be in harmony with God's Will of course, only that we are free to accept or reject His directions and fellowship.

Here's a quick overview:

Circa 2500 BCE the world flood occurred. After the waters subsided, God made a covenant with Noah and all of his descendants (including us). He said that if we wished fellowship with God we had to obey seven basic laws:

The Noahide Laws

1. Worship Only the One God
2. Honor and Praise the One God
3. Respect and Protect Human Life
4. Respect the Family
5. Respect the Rights and Properties of Others
6. Respect the Sanctity of all Life
7. Pursue/enforce Justice

We are all free to obey or disobey these laws, but if/when we disobey our spiritual connection with God suffers.

Later (circa 2000-1800 BCE) God established His eternal covenant with Abraham and his descendants -- that came through Sarah and Isaac (ie not through Hagar and Ishmael).

Later this covenant was clarified as the Torah (Law) was revealed to Moses at Mount Sinai (circa 1450 BCE).

Around 7 BCE our Master, Jesus (or Y'shua ben Miriam), was born. He lived 33 1/2 years and sought to reform Judaism and established the B'rit Hadashah or New Covenant through which everyone, Jew of Gentile, was/is granted access to God.

All who wish to know Peace with God are encouraged to choose, by their own free will, to accept the teachings and principles revealed by God.

This is not required, it is optional.

The fact that submission to God's Will is not required is demonstrated in every TV newscast, every newspaper etc. The world stands, for the most part, in open deviance of God's stated Will... for now.

As I understand the Scriptures, humanity is allowed to do almost anything it wishes (for good or ill) except for one thing:

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

In the (I believe near) future there is going to come a point when the Jews will be utterly exterminated from the planet UNLESS God intervenes.

This "choice," this planned genocide of "the Elect" is what will bring the Second Coming of Y'shua.

There have also been other times when God has directly intervened in human affairs. Our freedom therefore is not absolute, but close.

God Granted Me A Miracle Today ;-)

Thought I'd share a miracle that happened today.

For the past couple of months I've been feeling that something physical was not quite right with me. I could not put my finger on it.

My doctor was no help, he's pretty apathetic really. I was talking with my physical therapist about it and he referred me a doctor he knows at the local med center, a rather elderly Jewish man who reminded me of the rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof.

I went for my first appointment on Monday and he discovered a problem. In my left breast I had what felt to the touch like a "sliver" of sorts, about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide directly under the nipple. I had been a bit sensitive in the area for a while but had not noticed it. With my chronic illness I often have floating pains and I had assumed that was all it was.

This new doc seemed a bit alarmed by his discovery, it could be cancerous he thought, and told me to have a mammogram and x-rays the next day (this past Tuesday). I also have some blood work to do in a few days. He seemed rather concern about this "lump" hence the rush for the tests.

Due to a scheduling mix up I had the test done today instead.

As I sat in the waiting room I felt what seemed like a warm hand touching my chest over the area with the growth and I "knew" God had healed me!

Then the tech came and did the mammogram as well as an ultrasound and found NOTHING. The tech asked me to show her where it was. I felt the area for it to show her, but it was gone. She felt around as well based on the doctors notes and could not find it either.

The mammogram and the ultrasound show no trace of what the doctor and I both clearly felt.

Scientists have discovered the earliest known Hebrew writing - an inscription dating from the 10th century B.C., during the period of King David's reign.

The breakthrough could mean that portions of the Bible were written centuries earlier than previously thought. (The Bible's Old Testament is thought to have been first written down in an ancient form of Hebrew.)

Until now, many scholars have held that the Hebrew Bible originated in the 6th century B.C., because Hebrew writing was thought to stretch back no further. But the newly deciphered Hebrew text is about four centuries older, scientists announced this month.

"It indicates that the Kingdom of Israel already existed in the 10th century BCE and that at least some of the biblical texts were written hundreds of years before the dates presented in current research," said Gershon Galil, a professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Haifa in Israel, who deciphered the ancient text.

BCE stands for "before common era," and is equivalent to B.C., or before Christ.

The writing was discovered more than a year ago on a pottery shard dug up during excavations at Khirbet Qeiyafa, near Israel's Elah valley. The excavations were carried out by archaeologist Yosef Garfinkel of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. At first, scientists could not tell if the writing was Hebrew or some other local language.

Finally, Galil was able to decipher the text. He identified words particular to the Hebrew language and content specific to Hebrew culture to prove that the writing was, in fact, Hebrew.

"It uses verbs that were characteristic of Hebrew, such as asah ('did') and avad ('worked'), which were rarely used in other regional languages," Galil said. "Particular words that appear in the text, such as almanah ('widow') are specific to Hebrew and are written differently in other local languages."

The ancient text is written in ink on a trapezoid-shaped piece of pottery about 6 inches by 6.5 inches (15 cm by 16.5 cm). It appears to be a social statement about how people should treat slaves, widows and orphans. In English, it reads (by numbered line):

1' you shall not do [it], but worship the [Lord].
2' Judge the sla[ve] and the wid[ow] / Judge the orph[an]
3' [and] the stranger. [Pl]ead for the infant / plead for the po[or and]
4' the widow. Rehabilitate [the poor] at the hands of the king.
5' Protect the po[or and] the slave / [supp]ort the stranger.

The content, which has some missing letters, is similar to some Biblical scriptures, such as Isaiah 1:17, Psalms 72:3, and Exodus 23:3, but does not appear to be copied from any Biblical text.

The major military campaign is timed to be held at Iran's "deadline" for the West to respond to its nuclear fuel proposal. Iran has rejected the proposals of the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency which would limit Iran's weapons capacity. They are insisting on free reign to develop what they continue to falsely characterize as a peaceful civilian nuclear program.

Make no mistake--Iran's nuclear threat is a dagger poised at Israel's throat.

"When you see these things look up for your redemption draweth nigh."

This is a battle between darkness and Light...between Good and evil. Satan's battle against God is centered on Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the only city God claims as His own. It is called the city of God and the Holy City in scriptures: "In the Temple and in Jerusalem which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel. I will put my Name forever." II Chronicles 37:7

Why do the nations of the Earth fear Jerusalem? Because "When the Lord shall build up Zion then shall he appear in his Glory." (Psalm 102:16)

The promises and covenant were given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants: to "the Jews."

Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

As Y'shua (Jesus) said:

John 4:22 Ye [Gentiles] worship ye know not what: we [Jews] know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

And Paul said:

Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin....
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

This view has absolutely no biblical, historic nor archeological support whatsoever.

We are not all descended from Jacob and so even by your argument what you are saying is incorrect.

The descendants of Noah's son Shem (the Semites) were set apart unto God after the global flood:

Genesis 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan [descendants of Ham]; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
Gen 9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem [the Semites]; and Canaan shall be his servant.
Gen 9:27 God shall enlarge Japheth [see below], and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Noah's Sons:

Shem: This oldest son of Noah is to have the rights of the firstborn. He is the leader of the b'nei Noach, the children of Noah. The descendants of Shem include Abraham and his physical descendants, which would include the Semitic Jews and Arabs, the people living to the east of Babylon and the Persian Gulf, the Assyrians and others. Converts to Judaism becomes Jewish and are thus adopted into lineage of Shem.

Ham: Canaan (Ham's son) and his offspring are specifically cursed by Noah. It is declared that these people will be servants to their brothers. Ham's descendants are said to include Ethiopians, Egyptians, Libyans, Phoenicians, Hittites and others.

Japheth: His descendants will be "enlarged" and blessed. They will "dwell in the tents of Shem." They will live by the blessings of Shem to assist Shem. Later on in Genesis this relationship becomes clearer. If the descendants of Japheth use their material blessings to bless and bolster the descendants of Shem (the Jews), they will be blessed. Conversely, if they 'leave the tents of Shem,' turn their backs on the Jews; refusing to support and bless the Shemites, then HaShem will curse Japheth's descendants. This blessing/cursing applies to the descendants of Ham as well; however, it is especially in place for the descendants of Japheth who are told to live in the tents of Shem.
The descendants of Japheth include the Cimmerians, Cimbri, Celts, Scythians, Russians, Greeks, Anglo-Saxons, Syrians, Thracians, Armenians, peoples of Asia Minor, Sicilians, Cypriots, etc.

Due to the later contamination of the Semitic bloodline through Hagar and Ishmael (ie the Arabs) the Torah clarifies that the Promise passed specifically through Abraham and Sarah (rather than Abraham and Hagar) and thence through Isaac and Jacob (Israel) and the twelve tribe of Israel -- Jacob's Semitic offspring and their descendants.

Genesis 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman [ie Hagar]; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

That line was later cleaned with the loss of the Ten Tribes. The two remaining tribes are those people we know today as the Jews, the Elect of HaShem.

During the final seven years of "the Times of the Gentiles" Moshiach (Messiah) will reestablish the Twelve Houses of Israel as the prophets explain.

Besides, if everyone is "chosen" then there are no chosen ones. According to Master Y'shua however, as the Rex Mundi (Antichrist) commits the "abomination of desolation" the Elect will be living in Israel and still chosen:

Why Are We Here? Eternal Happiness and the Meaning of Life By John of AllFaith 12.28.2009 Everything material, without exception, is at best temporary and limited. So if one is seeking eternal happiness one can take any and all material things off the list of possible ways to attain it. Eternal happiness can not be found there. Everything material is fleeting, be it positive or negative, at best. This being a given, eternal anything (happiness or anything else) can not be stored in any material container (be it in vaults, banks, philosophies, experiences, religions, doctrines, creeds etc.). Religions etc. point the Way to discovering It but can never contain It. Eternal happiness is only to be found in eternal existence. Happiness is a material thing. This is shown by the fact that happiness has an opposite: sadness. No dualistic material thing is eternal and hence there is no "eternal happiness" per se. The problem is we lack a vocabulary (which is a material thing) to describe that which is truly spiritual and eternal. "Eternal" means without beginning or end and so if one does not already possess this eternal happiness it is not eternal. See the difficulty here? Sanskrit and Hebrew are far far superior to utilitarian English for considering such topics, but alas we are stuck with English for now. When studying the wisdom these scriptures reveal we must carefully understand the terms as revealed in those languages and overcome our linguistic limitations. One can not "achieve" something that is eternal unless one has eternally possesses it. The good news is that we have always possessed "eternal existence" which is composed of, as best we can conceive, "sat chit ananda" (eternity, knowledge and bliss). Therefore we are all eternally sat chit ananda vigraha (or beings of eternity, knowledge and bliss). As Sri Krsna says: Bhagavad Gita 2:12: Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings, nor in the future shall any of us cease to be. 2:13: As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul also passes into another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a change. 2:14: O son of Kunti, sensory perceptions afflict one with cold, heat, pleasure and pain. They appear and disappear and are impermanent. Therefore endure them all O descendant of Bharata. 2:15: One who is never distressed, O best among men, and who remains unaltered [in the face of] suffering and pleasure and is patient, such a person is eligible for immortality. 2:16: Being does not come from the non-existent, nor does non-being arise from the eternal. This is the considered conclusion of those who see the truth. (my translation). However we have temporarily laid our eternal nature aside in order to experience separation from the One God Who alone is Sat Chit Ananda Vigraha (we are of sat chit ananda vigraha however Ek Devata or the One God IS Sat Chit Ananda Vigraha). We have entered into what is comparable to a Dark Cloud of Unknowing. We have temporarily donned a form lesser than our true Self in order to learn and experience what we, as eternal Children of God, would not be possible to learn with the full awareness of our eternal nature. Consider: How could we as omniscient beings, the Children of the Most High, ever be deceived by Maya (illusion) and Avidya (ignorance)? We know better! And yet this is temporarily beneficial or desirable in ways hard to fathom as embodied beings. The Sanatana Dharma Masters call this Dark Cloud Sa-guna Brahman. Guna means qualities or attributes. Nir-guna means devoid of or "no" qualities. It is not that there are no spiritual qualities but that there are no dualistic (material) qualities. Sa-guna means possessing or "yes" qualities. Material nature is not eternal. It is temporary. Everything material has a beginning, a middle and an end, but Jiva Atman (the Self) has no beginning, middle or end. We are eternal beings, children of Ek Devata, the One God. As beings of Nir-guna we temporarily enter into the consciousness of Sa-guna Brahman. When we are ready, we return Home to Godhead, to the Nir-guna Brahman consciousness. The myriad yoga systems, religions and so on exist to guide us Homeward when we are ready to return. The irony is, as eternal beings we are already there! As Master Y'shua taught, 'The Kingdom of God is already in our midst' (Luke 17:21)! It is no wonder we can not conceive of God in fullness, we can not even conceive of ourselves in fullness! Even our temporary material shells are a mystery to us on so many levels! Therefore the Psalmist urges us, "Arise Oh God!" and yet we slumber on unaware of our true natures and we "die like men, and fall like one of the princes" (Psalm 82). How will we ever discover and reclaim our eternal natures? This is the goal of religion and the spiritual quest. Because we are limited in our consciousness we use dualistic words like 'eternal" and "happiness" but "real reality" is so much greater than anything we can conceive. As the Christian Apostle said: 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. And again: 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Or as Sri Krsna reveals to Arjuna when displaying His Vishva-rupa or Universal Form, whatever we believe we know, whatever we conceive, whatever our studies have unearthed... God is more AND so are we! The Vishva-rupa or Universal Form is discussed in the eleventh chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. While we exist here in material form we must tread carefully so as not to be consumed by the icy waters of illusion (maya) and ignorance (avidya). We in the West are accustomed to thinking in absolutes, everything must be "right" or "wrong," "true" or "false," but in the spiritual realms no such duality exists. 1 + 1 sometimes equals 2 but it can just as easily equal any other number! This is very difficult to wrap ones head around after years of materialistic programing, but think of it this way: We are unfathomable eternal beings, created in the very image of the Inconceivable One God: We have been so eternally past and will ever so continue into what we regard as the future. We are temporarily occupying these material forms for eternal reasons and so we do well to be fully present within this moment in order to learn from these experiences and insights. And yet those who are wise will occupy their physical form with spiritual consciousness (Luke 19:13). Eternity is not something future, we are living in eternity even now. Physical embodiment is not a curse nor a prison, it is better thought of as a classroom, an opportunity for growth, personal development and service to the One. As eternal beings we are now, as always, sat chit ananda vigraha (persons of eternity, knowledge and bliss): we are children of the Most High God! Our task is to arise from self-imposed slumber when the time comes and to realize our True Nature as sons and daughters of the One God beyond all comprehension. Bavarian illustrator Thomas Nast

The appearance of Old Nick varied greatly for a long time. Sometimes he was shown as a stern Bishop (as Nicholas of Myra), sometimes as a busy elderly elf, sometimes as a fearsome incubus, and sometimes as a fur clad mountain man. Here's a few examples:

The Bavarian Illuminati had great plans for Old Nick (or more accurately he had great plans for them!) and so once they had his myth firmly established with Moor's poem, they unified Old Nick's public image through the art work of Bavarian illustrator Thomas Nast. By presenting the Pagan festival as the birthday of Y'shua the Nicolaitanes pulled in the Believers and the Vatican sanctified the Pagan festival. Then, once it was firmly planted within Nicean Christian culture, the Nicolaitanes methodically replaced the Nicean Jesus with their true god, Old Nick. The plan was ingeniousness and worked on many different levels: Their capitalist cum corporatist enterprises flourished, Christian children were taught to pray to Lucifer for what they wanted rather than to God (who alone we are to beseech as Believers) and the churches even promoted it as a holy rite!

AND If Santa Is Only A Myth...

Another Nicolaitane coup seldom considered by Believers is that once their kids learn that Santa is "only a myth" -- merely a beloved childhood fantasy -- they reasonably begin to assume that God, the other "imaginary friend who watches over us and keeps a list of whose been naughty and nice" is also not real. A guy in the mall speaks for Santa, a guy in the church speaks for Jesus... but at least Santa bring material goodies!

As the secular governments gained control over public education and began dictating school curriculum teachers were forced to indoctrinate Christian children with anti-biblical Atheistic religion in the name of Science and secular enlightenment. Through Darwinism and other secular sciences the Elite supported the belief that God, like Santa, was only a myth that enlightened people naturally discarded as they became adult.

Santa -- Satan

And behind it all with demonic glee was Old Nick! Surely it is no coincidence that Santa, in English, an anagram of Satan!

Nast created the popular version of Santa Claus known today. He also added to the myth by giving Santa a home at the North Pole, a toy workshop filled with busy elves (reminiscent of the nature spirits honored by the Pagans), and his list of the good and bad children (in heretical imitation of the biblical Book of Life) to keep them in check and subject to the All Seeing Eye.

Coca-Cola Red

After Nast, all that remained was Santa's red outfit.

In 1931 the Coca Cola Corporation contracted the Swedish commercial artist Haddon Sundblom to create a coke-drinking Santa (he also created Aunt Jemima and the Quaker Oats man).

Not surprisingly Kent, Muhtar (President and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company) and George A. David (chairman of Coca-Cola's Hellenic Bottling Co.) are also members of the Merovingian led Bilderberg Group of Global Elite. George A. David is also a member of the notorious Club of Rome. The Hellenic Coca Cola Bottling Co. is one of Europe's major soft drink companies. While we can not say for certain, as I discuss Here, it is worth noting that there is strong biblical evidence that Rex Mundi (the Antichrist) will arise from the Greek Isles. This globalist corporation insisted that Santa's fur-trimmed suit be presented in bright Coca Cola red. Perhaps it seems I'm stretching the point a bit here, however given the known ties binding Coca cola with the Illuminati (via their membership in Club Bilderberg and the Club of Rome), it is reasonable to question whether this might not suggest something darker -- a link between color of Santa's outfit to, for instance, an association with the the "Red Shield" (or "Rothschild" family of the Bavarian Illuminati).

Rudolph Joins the team

Rudolph, that "most famous reindeer of all," hitched his yoke to Old Nick's reindeer team about a hundred years after the original herd of eight flying deer was selected. Rudolph was created by Robert L. May, a copywriter at the Montgomery Ward department store in 1939 to bring in more customers. May created the myth that is now standard Christmas fare.

How Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Got His Start

Thus with the aid of a Bavarian artist and a Bilderberg member corporation (including the symbolic red shield of the Rothschild House) Santa became the real reason for the season replacing Jesus and undermining the God he served even more. Santa is a blend of Christian crusader, pagan god, and commercial idol.

And it all goes to enrich the global fascist Novus Ordo Seclorum, further undermine faith in the God of Israel, and help pave the way for the coming revelation of Rex Mundi.

Santa Claus

The traditions of Saint Nick come from a few different places and have been combined into the popular image of Santa Claus.

"Saint" Nicholas

The "Nicolaitane Heresy" (referenced directly in the Book of Revelation and indirectly by Paul and others in the New Testament) is propagated by "Old Nick" or "the Stranger." Old Nick is another moniker of Lucifer.

Old Nick: God of the Merovingians

Nick or Old Nick is a well-known appellation of Lucifer and has been used as such for centuries. The name is related to (or may be derived from) the Dutch word Nikken or devil. The word Nikken stems from the Anglo-Saxon nac-an meaning "to slay". In the areas around Bavaria (home of the Bavarian Illuminati and seat of Merovingian power) there is a river spirit named "Neck," "Nikke," or "Nokke." This nature spirit/demon is of the same family of nature spirits as the Celtic Water Kelpie (supernatural water horses). These spirits are directly related to the Merman of Triton and elsewhere.

The Merovingian Global Elite trace their roots to Merovech (Meroveus or Merovius in Latin and M�rov�e in French), the founder of the Salian Frankish Merovingian dynasty. According to their traditions, Merovech was born of a sea god after his mother was raped by a "bestea Neptuni Quinotauri similis." Mero is the root word of mermaid (and mermen) and directly references their father as "Neck," "Nikke," or "Nokke": I.E. as Old Nick or Lucifer in the guise of a quinotaur, which is to say, a five-horned sea bull. According to many of the Dark Prophecies, Rex Mundi will arise from and lead the Merovingians and establish the New World Order (the Novus Ordo Seclorum). Hence, Old Nick is the actual god of the Merovingians and father of the Nicolaitane Heresy.

The Nicolaitane Heresy, by whatever name, is a movement that has been carefully concealed and developed within the heart of the Nicean Church by the Merovingian Elite from as early as the late Second Century CE. That movement established much of what today is accepted as standard Christian dogma. Babylon the Great ("that woman Jezebel") will be the organized, global structure that will arise from this centuries-long endeavor finally realized under the authority of Rex Mundi (the Antichrist). This is the true identity of Old Nick.

But of course, had this been revealed the mislead believers would have rebelled and so a nicer, more Catholic face was developed for public consumption.

Nicholas, Bishop of Myra and Lord of Bari

"Nicholas the Wonder worker" as he was known was born in Parara, Turkey in 270 CE and died December 5th or 6th, 346. He was said to be a very kind and generous man who often left secreted gifts for the poor with the aid of companions like Zwarte Piet (a black skinned servant), Knecht Ruprecht (a bearded farm hand), Krampus (an incubus-like horned creature), der Wilde Mann (an unhorned incubus known simply as "the wild man") and other non-biblical Pagan characters. People would leave their shoes out on their porches and Nicholas often left coins in them.

The Nicean Church developed his popular reputation as the public facade of Saint (santa) Nick (even though he was not formally declared a saint until the 19th century). By incorporating these images and traditions many Northern Europeans came into the universal Church. While Old Nick's demonic companions are largely unknown in the US, they are still widely honored in the Netherlands and elsewhere as nature-spirit assistants to Sinterklaas. Sinterklaas' name comes from the Dutch word Sinter and offers a hint of Old Nick's true identity. He emerges from the sintel or cinders of the mythical regions of Hell along with his demonic assistants.

December 25th

As I explain in several studies on my Noahide Nazarene Website, following the Diaspora (70 CE) and the exile of the Jews from the Roman Province of Iudaea (Eretz Israel) many false doctrines arose within the Way Movement. Master Y'shua describes these false doctrines as the Nicolaitan Heresy in the second and third chapters of his Revelation. As I describe there, the Nicolaitan Heresy (also known as the the error of Balaam and the teaching of "that woman Jezebel" -- i.e. Babylon the Great) is the overlaying of Pagan beliefs and doctrines onto the Way taught by Master Y'shua. The rites of December 25th are among these added traditions of men (Col 2:8, II Thess. 2:15). Despite the unsuccessful attempts of Dionysius Exiguus and others to justify the date, the reason December 24th was chosen was to continue the traditions of Saturnalia and other Pagan winter solstice holiday traditions. There is no biblical support for this date.

Saturnalia

The Roman celebration of Saturnalia ran from December 17-25.

Simply stated, during this week each community would pick someone to play the role of "Lord of Misrule." As I discuss elsewhere in some detail, it was common for Pagans to personify their gods in various ways. The most common of these was temple prostitution wherein the devotee engaged in sexual intercourse with the priest (qadesh) or priestess (qadeshah) in order to mystically and carnally merge with the deity. These temple surrogates are mentioned and condemned several places in the Bible as I discuss Here, for instance: "There shall be no Qadeshah of the daughters of Israel, nor a Qadesh of the sons of Israel... (Deuteronomy 23:17).

In the same way, the "Lord of Misrule" represented the spirit of darkness, lawlessness and abuse and took upon himself the excesses of the people. During the week this surrogate was given every imaginable luxury and excess; he was "King for the Week." Hedonism reigned supreme among the people and nothing was off limits. Having been overshadowed by the new Christ Mass celebrations many of the Saturnalia rites were later reborn as Brazil's Carnivaal or Mardi Gras. Not only the Lord of Saturnalia, but everyone engaged in these hedonistic celebrations. They roamed the streets naked or in costumes drunk singing raucous carols and looking for victims, sex partners, fellow revelers and so on.

Ginger Bread Men and Transubstantiation

As part of the Saturnalia rites the Pagans ate little biscuits, often shaped like human beings or animals (now known as Christmas cookies and ginger bread men). St. Nicholas Magazine (May 1875) recounts one of the surviving stories in the tale of the Gingerbread Boy. In brief, the wife in a childless couple was baking cookies one day and fashioned one in the shape of a boy. When she opened the oven a real boy (made out of gingerbread) jumped out and ran off. The woman, her husband, the farmhands, even the animals chased the boy but the boy would taunt them, saying:

I've run away from a little old woman,
A little old man,
A barn full of threshers,
A field full of mowers,
A cow and a pig,
And I can run away from you, I can!

Finally the fox joined in the chase and caught the boy:

Presently the gingerbread boy said, "Oh dear! I'm quarter gone!"
And then, "Oh, I'm half gone!"
And soon, "I'm three-quarters gone!"
And at last, "I'm all gone!"

The Gingerbread Man tale has several versions but as far as we know none are the original. For more on the Gingerbread Man consult the SurLaLune Fairy Tales site. In 1890 for instance the story was updated by Joseph Jacobs as published as "Johnny-Cake" in his English Fairy Tales collection, but the story is clearly much older. Given what is known there should be no real doubt that originally the account held Pagan references to human sacrifice and a satirical memorial to one boy who sought unsuccessfully to escape (a similar chase of the victim is recounted in the Wickerman tales). This eating of the sacrificial boy may remind Catholics of their doctrine of Transubstantiation (the Papal doctrine whereby the Communion Host literally becomes the blood and flesh of Jesus to be consumed again and again -- in violation of Scripture: Heb 6:6).

During Saturnalia rape, incest, bestiality, most anything imaginable was allowed and even encouraged. The courts were closed and anything went.

But then on the 25th of December, the Lord of Misrule was publicly executed, indicating the passing of the Dark back to the Light, lawlessness to law, chaos to order. The people pretended that none of the abuses had taken place as they returned to comparatively civilized life in preparation for the New Year.

At first the followers of the Way were appalled by these acts but as the Universal Churchthe Way in 4th century, Saturnalia was incorporated and "Christianized" by the Roman Church and with it came ever more Pagan converts. replaced

Christmas Trees

Christmas trees (like the Tannenbaum or sacred fir tree) are specifically forbidden by the Torah and yet, as with Saturnalia, they were incorporated by the Nicolaitane Church to bring ever more Pagans -- like the Asheira cult -- under the dominion of the Roman Church. Of this forbidden practice we read:

10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

In the NNB:

Traditions of the sacred tree are ancient. The pre-Christian Romans honored the evergreen pine to celebrate the spring festival of Arbor intrat. Each March 22 in honor of the Spring Equinox (Easter, Eostar, Ostara, Sham el Nessim, Higan, Nowruz etc) devotees of goddess Cybele cut down a pine tree and carried it to the Palatine temple for worship. The tree was wrapped in tinsel (bandages), wreathed with violets and decorated to mourn the death Attis, the self castrated son of Cybele who died beneath a pine tree. Three days later Attis was miraculously restored to life.

According to the poet Virgil the Romans decorated sacred trees with little masks of the fertility god Bacchus even as people today place ornaments on Christmas trees. It was believed that as the wind blew these ornaments around, Bacchus granted fertility to whatever the masks looked upon. Therefore trees around the fields, the stables and elsewhere were decorated. The Romans also believed that woodland fairies and nature spirits (like Christmas elves) lived in the branches of the decorated trees (possibly giving rise to the custom of leaving milk and cookies out on Christmas Eve).

The worshipers of Mithras Sol Invictus (the Roman Sun god worshiped by Constantine until the day of his death: for more on this see Here) also believed that the souls of the recently dead occupied the trees awaiting rebirth. Trees were decorated by these people to call forth the shimmering presence of the Sun (Sol Invictus). Mithraism was a major factor in the doctrinal foundation of the New Religion of the Universal Church and to them the Winter Solstice and Saturnalia marked one of the four Sacred holidays.

Pre-Muslim Egyptians also honored a sacred tree; in their case the palm tree. Their sacred tree also held promises resurrection and good fortune and, like the Christmas tree, was brought into their homes and decorated during the winter solstice. Likewise, the Sacred Groves of the Baal and Ashtaroth worshipers are repeatedly condemned in the Torah. The Christmas tree is merely the Nicean Christan expression of these ancient Pagan customs.

Mistletoe

The mistletoe found on the sacred oak was considered especially sacred to the ancient Celtic Druids. On the sixth night of the moon Druid priests in white robes cut oak mistletoe with a golden sickle. They sacrifice white bulls while uttering prayers that the recipients of the mistletoe would prosper in all ways, including fertility and sexual prowess.

It is taught that the Norse god Balder was killed by the god Hoder using an arrow made of mistletoe while fighting for the pleasure of Lady Nanna. Mistletoe is a potent poison used by Druids and others that reaches deep within the soul according to the Will of Mage. Like so many other Pagan traditions this one was Christianized to draw in more Pagans and continue the ancient ways in a new form.

Mistletoe both empowers and gives license to sexual promiscuity, hence the Universal Church established the tradition of "kissing under the mistletoe" in preparation for the hedonism of Saturnalia. Even today it forms a frequent part of the Yule-tide observances and even many Christians place it on their door posts and exchange ritual kisses.

Question:
Why do we fight for reinstating the ten commandments, when atheists & agnostics tear it down, but then neglect the 4th commandment? Isn't the 4th as valid as the other 9? If the commandments are to be written in our hearts, why do we select the 1st day to be observed, when the 4th commandment specifically mentioned the 7th day? Then again, if the day doesn't matter, why not select Friday, because there wouldn't be a resurrection without a death first, for the sacrificial death of our God is just as important as His resurrection?

This is an Excellent Question!

Bravo!

The answer is that the Sabbath is the only day set aside in the Bible for worship and declared sacred and that was never repealed.

Seventh Day Baptists and a few other groups do honor the Shabbat as my family will be doing so in an hour or so. Shabbat begins today at 4:50 our time.

Sunday was selected as the holy day for Christians because that was the day the Pagan world worshiped Sol Invictus, the Sun god and Rome wanted to unite all religions as one.

Palin on Bill O'Reilly

I'm still trying to get a handle on Sarah Palin.

In this interview (November 21, 2009) she says some things that sound good and some that cause me alarm.

At the 1:27 mark she talks briefly about Israel. Again, mixed blessings.
She says the US must let Israel know we support them and will stand with them, that we will not dictate to them about the settlements etc. Kudos...

But when O'Reilly gives here the hypothetical of Bibi Netanyahu calling and telling her, as president, that Israel is going to attack the Iranian nuke plants she says that "any kind of war strike is the very last option" and O'Reilly adds, 'so you say no to him, and then Bibi says you can stop them.' Note Palin's words carefully. She says, that is why the US must not allow things to get to that point.

What that means can be debated.

Does it mean she would then turn against Israel, that the US must recognize Israel's sovereignty but still manipulate them according to our agenda? That the US should hit Iran first? That the US should dictate to the region more directly? Just how committed is she to Israel...

AND I am still looking for a CURRENT and direct statement from Ms. Palin about the plans to divide Jerusalem and her view on that. Any links/sources on this would be most appreciated.

She also says the US must make Putin understand that the US is THE sole superpower in the world. There are lots of potential problems with that statement!

True leaders are followed because of their leadership qualities, their wisdom, their programs, not because people are intimidated by them. IF the US began showing true leadership and respect for other countries (and its own citizens) Russia and the other countries would be far more inclined to accept that role. Before 9-11 the US was largely respected. After 9-11 -- largely because of the decisions of Bush the-never-elected -- we are now universally mistrusted and commonly despised. We destroyed our reputation and only we can restore it.

The former Governor also called for an increase in the unjust US war against Afghanistan with a new surge etc. (which Obama is even now implementing) when what we need to do is get out of there and out of Iraq now and allow the people of those countries to determine the kind of government they will have. In this she sounds too much like Bush the-never-elected. The fact is that these wars were deliberately designed without an endpoint. if we "have to win" we can never leave because our intentions are diametrically opposed to the will of the citizens of these occupied countries.

I think I like Sarah Palin as a person and that we would have a lot in common if we ever met and talked around a kitchen table... but I'm still not convinced about her as President, especially regarding her views on Israel, the New World Order and the continuation of these unjustifiable wars.

As of today the Interloper's Gallup ratings have dropped to 47% (the biggest popularity rating drop at this point in any administration since Gallup began keeping records according to Sean Hannity) while Governor Palin's are raising. They are now in a statistical dead heat, she is at 46%.
