The 144,000: The Facts
Part Three

Amos 3:7 Surely Lord HaShem will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The fulfillment of these End Time prophecies could not possibly have happened prior to our generation. I present why this is so elsewhere.

Now is the time of the end of human rule and the ministry of the 144,000 is an integral part of this fulfillment of HaShem's Plan. The prophecy begins with the coming of Rex Mundi:

Rev. 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

As this time of prophetic fulfillment begins a ruler will arise, one who is "riding a white horse." He appears to be a righteous ruler, but this is lie. Of him Apostle Paul tells us:

I Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

As mentioned above, even Master Y'shua said he didn't know when this day would come. Paul assures us however, as did the Master (Matt 24) that there would be clear signs and prophets given so that we who are alive today would know the time had come. When "those who have eyes to see and ears to hear" witness the rise of this ruler they (we) will know for certain that the time has arrived. And yet other clear prophecies of this day have already come pass so we know the Day is now dawning.

This present study is looking at the 144,000 rather than the Rex Mundi (Anti-Christ/Dijal/Beast/Little Horn) so I wont go into this here, but at Revelation 6:2 it is confirmed that early during this period this prophesied ruler will ascend a gloablist throne (out of the EU). At his appearance he will seem like a truly great leader, a man of peace, as one "riding on a white horse." However this will be a deception.

The opening of these seven seals will reveal the true nature of this New World Order leader. His kingdom is even now being established.

Rev. 6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

At first the world will accept "the Great Leader" at face value, however humans do not like to accept authority when it seeks to limit what they can do and as the nations come to understand his policies and intentions great opposition to the Rex Mundi will rise from various quarters. I discuss his rise to power in some detail elsewhere. But as the Rex Mundi rises to power as a peaceful pseudo-messiah, he will face stiff opposition, especially from China and Russia, and his tactics will gradually go from diplomatic to military might.

By this point in the prophetic timetable, the United States will have lost its position as superpower to the ever consolidating European Union and be largely in ruins. I discuss this elsewhere as well. At this point, the leadership of ten EU nations (lead by the Bilderbergers, Merovingians, etc) will be working to establish a global government with the Rex Mundi at the head. China (the Kings of the East), Russia (Gog of the Land of Magog), certain European states and others will begin to actively oppose the implementation of the proposed Global Union. This opposition will result in much bloodshed.

Rev 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Due to the onset of global war inflation will run rampant, resulting in more death, starvation and war... Same state of affairs as before, only worse now. Many will begin to question that the Rex Mundi is who and what he claims to be and political intrigue and resistance will continue to rise, but it will be too late. It will be during this period that people will seriously begin to reconsider the biblical prophecies of the Beast. This will bring in a period of martyrdom never before seen.

Meanwhile across Europa and elsewhere the New World Order Elite will be busy consolidating their influence and power. The once optional economic system (including the Mark of the Beast technology) will gradually become inescapable and eventually mandatory, the implant will come to be viewed as a loyalty oath. Those who refuse to accept it will face severe persecution, starvation and death. At what point the technology becomes the Mark of the Beast is debatable. The best bet is to refuse all forms of this system, including the soon to be released REAL ID system, especially if it includes the RFID chip.

The utter absence of the United States from these prophecies does not bode well for us here!

Our absence from these prophecies screams loudly that we have gone terribly astray, if we even still exist at this point! We are deafened by the silence! What happened to this present-day Superpower?

This part is conjecture:

I believe that once the US finalizes its growing abandonment of Israel HaShem will allow us to be largely if not utterly destroyed.

At some point prior to the emergence of the Rex Mundi, as the Novus Ordo Seclorum seeks to establish the North American Union and take away the remainder of our freedoms and independence, the American people will face an internal meltdown. Factions of our fellow Americans will refuse to accept the new trilateral government of Canada, Mexico and the US. In the name of patriotism and nationalism many of these people will set about causing great harm to the new NAU government. Some will establish fiefdoms in places like Idaho, others will become outlaws and revolutionaries. At the same time, Mexican patriots will decide the time is right to retake their lost lands to the north, southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, portions of Texas will see invasion forces from Mexico streaming over our open southern borders, probably supported by other, largely unidentified political entities probably including the People's Republic of China and factions of the Muslim Ummah.

These pre-tribulation events may begin with a US sponsored terrorist attack on Southern California (perhaps as early as the Fall of 2008), intended to justify the implementation of the North American Union, but this plan will backfire.

Some however will believe the reports that the attacks were conducted by Muslim terrorists and throughout the US Arab and other Muslim people will be targeted for revenge and extermination. This will lead the Grand Mufti of the US, Mexico, Canada, UK and other countries to declare global Jihad. This will result in Muslims in these countries waging war within the US, Canada etc. Millions will die in these attacks.


In order to restore the peace, the NAU government will implement national (regional) marshal law and probably use the unrest at home as a justification to attack other nations destined to submit to the NWO. It is quite conceivable that one of those nations, perhaps Iran, perhaps Venezuela, perhaps Saudi Arabia, perhaps the Muslim Ummah itself, will respond by nuking the US mainland.

What is certain, is that the US is not a player in these prophesied events and that the EU will take the reigns of Western leadership.

Rev 6:7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Death on an unprecedented scale.

While it is tempting to say these events reference things like the 9-11 attacks, and some people are saying just that, this is not the case. "The first Horseman of the Apocalypse" is clearly the Rex Mundi. As he has yet to reveal himself none of the events following his rise to power have yet taken place. Understand however that in Matthew 24 and elsewhere Master Y'shua and others speak of other tragic events that come before the rise of the Beast (the Rex Mundi). Much of the devastation facing the earth today, 9-11, Katrina, the Indian tsunami, the various wars, climate change, and so on are in accordance with the prophecies that pinpoint the "watch in which the thief will come" (Matt 24:43) and add confirmation that these are the days when all things will be fulfilled. HOWEVER these things, these specific prophesies, have not yet been fulfilled.

But they soon will be.

Rev. 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

The reign of Rex Mundi will not only be political but religious as well. I'll discuss this in much more detail elsewhere, however the now emerging New World Order will eventually move to outlaw religion. When this fails, as clearly it must, the Elite will seek to utilize the beliefs of what we today know as the New Age Movement and the Interfaith Movement in conjunction with the ailing Roman Catholic hierarchy. By manipulating these movements and establishing an official universal ("Catholic") religion in conjunction with a newly renovated/denigrated Vatican hierarchy, all legal religion will be placed under the authority of a man known in the prophecies as the False Prophet.

This man will, at this point in time, be the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. There is no evidence to suggest that Pope Benedict XVI will become the False Prophet, however the sitting Pope at the rise of the Rex Mundi will be.

It is noteworthy however that Pope Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger) was an active member of the NWO Hitler Youth and that Nazi Germany was a dress rehearsal for what is coming soon. Pope Benedict XVI is certainly aware of what is taking place in the world and is quoted as saying, "We are moving toward a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as for certain and which has as its highest goal ones own ego and ones own desires."

This acknowledgment of the inevitable direction the world is taking does not of course mean Pope Benedict XVI supports it. Time will tell, however if Pope Benedict XVI does not become the foretold False Prophet, chances are very high that he will be the last Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

This sixth seal marks a very important event. As explained above, the Rex Mundi will rise to power as a hero riding a white horse. At first he will face little opposition but in time significant opposition will come. Three and a half AFTER the Rex Mundi signs a significant peace treaty between Israel and those who oppose it, he will be assassinated. This prophecy says:

Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast [ie the Rex Mundi] rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

I discuss all this symbolism elsewhere but it is all very meaningful, however it will be at this point, when the Sixth Seal is loosened, that the Rex Mundi will be killed! However... He will be raised from the dead as the full incarnation of the fallen Angelic Prince Lucifer. When this happens the earth will have three and half more years to endure. This entire seven year period is known as The Tribulation but the final three and a half years are called The Great Tribulation because, as Master Y'shua explained:

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

It is of this three and a half period specifically that Master Y'shua warned:

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake [ie the Jews] those days shall be shortened.

"The Earth belongs to HaShem and the Fullness Thereof." The 144,000: The Facts Part Two By Ben Ruach ha Kodesh (John of AllFaith) © 3.3.08 We have lots of clear information here. Let's begin with verse one: "...And after these things I saw..." We have a basic time line in this Book of Prophecy for when the 144,000 will appear and perform their ministry. They will appear "... after these things." While the Book of Revelation is a bit more difficult to understand than many other books due to its heavy use of symbolism and metaphor, it is actually written in a fairly straightforward matter. When it says, "therefore" or "and then" or "after these things," it is giving us clear direction. So, what happened before "these things" that chapter seven comes after? We need to understand this because this prophecy must be understood in its contextual, prophetic wholeness. Those who fail to understand the context of this prophecy will misunderstand everything contained within it. Chapter one of Revelation praises God and describes the source of this prophecy: The God of Israel, through Master Y'shua, through the Apostle John, through the Seven Church ages, and down to us. Chapters two through four describe the future history of the followers of Master Y'shua using the simile of seven churches that progressively abandon his teachings until finally, in the End Times or final days of the age, Master Y'shua 'vomits" those who claim to follow him from his "mouth" due to their hypocrisy and false doctrines. I discuss this in some detail elsewhere and plan to write specifically on the Seven Churches themselves soon, God willing and the bombs don't drop. Then, in chapter five of the Revelation, the reader is transported into the Heavenly Kingdom of HaShem. Beginning at this point we are granted a bird's eye view of the coming events. During his earthly ministry Master Y'shua encouraged his disciples to pray that HaShem's Will would be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Beginning in chapter four we behold the goings on in the Heavenly Kingdom as the Plan of the Ages goes into effect. Here we behold HaShem's servants praising Him and preparing for their roles in the things to come. I'll discuss the 24 elders, the four beast etc. elsewhere. For now, chapter four is showing us that the time for action has arrived and that the denizens of the spiritual Kingdom of HaShem are in complete agreement with what comes next. It is a righteous plan although the living out of it will be the most difficult experience in human history. Things would be far worse for us were HaShem and His Moshiach (Messiah) not to intervene however! This entering into human history is happening as an act Divine Love. Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne [ie HaShem] a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. This scene speaks to the Plan of HaShem that is now being fulfilled. Since the beginning of this age, six thousand years ago, HaShem has been following this plan for the restoration of the earth. I discuss this plan in greater detail elsewhere. In general terms, as this final and present age began HaShem maintained His granting of free will to humanity. As in previous ages, humanity in this age has demonstrated our lack of ability for just self governance. We have, over the past few decades, created the most technologically advanced civilization the earth has seen during this age (ie in the last 6000 years, which is to say, since the last planetary destruction). Today there is no justifiable reason for hunger, war, poverty, racism, sexism, homophobia, or even disease for the most part to exist, and yet these and similar negatives continue to plague our world and indeed seem to be increasing in many cases. HaShem, who alone knows the past, present and future decisions of mankind (ie our future is not predestined by God, it is pre-known), knows the end result of human self rule and is now moving to counter it. The world has now reached the point where we must either move beyond our petty greed and jealousies or be completely enslaved by them, if we don't destroy ourselves entire. Ours is the first generation within this age that actually has the ability, and seemingly the willingness, to destroy all life on the planet. As is surely obvious to everyone by now, we as human beings are following the foretold path towards mutual self destruction. The result of our actions, if allowed to continue indefinitely, are described in detail in the Indian scriptures written during the previous age: The Sri Bhagavata Purana, which like the Bible has many accurate prophecies to share, foretells the coming of a very dark time that will only end due to divine intervention: Sri Bhagavata Purana 1.3.25: Thereafter, at the conjunction of two yugas [ages], the Lord of the creation will take His birth as the Kalki incarnation and become the son of Visnu Yaśā. At this time the rulers of the earth will have degenerated into plunderers. I am absolutely convinced that "Lord Kalki" will soon, albeit early, arrive at the conjunction of Kali Yuga (our present age) and Satya Yuga (the age that will follow the 1000 year messianic reign) and slay the evil doers even as this ancient text accurately foretold the coming of the Buddha and others. According to a literal reading of the Hindu scriptures our present age of Kali Yuga (said to have begun around the year 3102 BCE) should not end for another 428,000 years. However the later periods of this age become unthinkably hellish. This is the course human self-rule is leading us towards. It is taught by the ancient sages that as our present age continues the world will become so vile and evil that those with faith in God will be few and hard to find. They will be ridiculed and condemned by the world, hunted like animals and slaughtered without mercy. People of faith will be forced to live in caves and to salvage for what they can for their survival. Many will commit suicide out of despair, desperation and the desire to go Home to the Ek Devata (the One God however conceived). Human longevity will gradually decrease dramatically. According to the Vedas (and the Bible) people used to live for nearly a thousand years, even longer, but as our present age took hold, human lives began to shorten to the point that it is now uncommon to see even one's one hundredth birthday. As the world continues to devolve it will be quite literally hell on earth for a very long time until God finally intervene out of pity and ends the suffering, proclaiming that enough is enough! Thereafter the first age, Satya Yuga will begin again. This is the future seen by the Indian Rishis of the previous age (Dvapara Yuga). However Ek Devata is most merciful to us and has established a plan to cut this present age short. As Master Y'shua assured us: Matt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. In order to save the people of the earth from thousands of years of torment and to bring reconciliation between man of God, the Ek Devata, as HaShem, chose the Jewish people to be His servants. Since the time of Abraham and Isaac the Jewish people 'have been wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace has been upon them; and by their stripes we are healed' (Isaiah 53). When we say the Jewish people are the "Chosen Ones" of HaShem this is what we are referencing. These verses are sometimes applied by Christians to Master Y'shua however in context, chapter 52 makes it very clear that the suffering servant is Israel, not the Messiah (Jesus or otherwise). This has been an inconceivably difficult service for the Jewish people to perform and many have lost faith, especially following the Shoah of the 1930's and 40's. As Tevye said in Fiddler on the Roof: I know, I know. We are Your chosen people. But, once in a while, can't You choose someone else? Now we are (if we are wise) preparing to see the fulfillment of HaShem's Plan and the reward for the long sufferings of the Jewish people. Revelation 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. The Book of prophecies that John saw were protected with seven seals. Until this generation of the Last Days of the Age the contents of this book remained hidden. Prophet Daniel, John and other seers wrote frankly that they did not know the contents of this book of prophecy, not in detail. Even Master Y'shua tells us that portions of these things were hidden from him as well. Dan. 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Matt. 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. And yet, as stated at the beginning of this study, Amos 3:7 Surely Lord HaShem will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The fulfillment of these End Time prophecies could not possibly have happened prior to our generation. I present why this is so elsewhere. Israel MUST defend its citizens!

I commissioned a legal opinion from Col. Bruce T Smith, on what restrictions or laws Israel is subject to in its self-defense and included it in my post Bomb Gaza. Win the War.

In sum: Israel is free to employ ALL munitions, tactics, equipment and personnel in her arsenal to defend herself against the outlaw Hamas terrorist organization. Short of the intentional targeting and murder of truly uninvolved and innocent civilians, Israel can (and should) operate as freely as she desires to protect her territorial sovereignty and the lives of her citizens.

What could be clearer.

Just the other day Ehud Barak said that he was going to ask the Justice Ministry for an opinion on the matter. This is a joke. There is no question that Barak has numerous legal opinions on the question throughout his career and now that he is Defense Minister must have viewed all the opinions given to his predecessor during the Lebanese War.

PM Olmert also muddied the waters when he said “Nobody has the right to preach morals to Israel for taking basic measures to defend itself.” He obviously is introducing a moral standard rather than a legal one. But the moral standard is a quagmire. A state owes a duty to its citizens to defend them. Fulfilling this duty is its highest value. A state is derelict if it compromises this duty by concern for a non-existent duty to avoid the death of enemy civilians. The only duty in war a state has is not to intentionally kill civilians but if civilians get killed as collateral damage even in disproportionate numbers it is still legal. The IDF must kill as many of its terrorists as it can with the least loss of its own. This is its duty and its morality.

As a numbers game, is it moral to cause one of your own to be killed to avoid killing ten of them? What about one hundred of them. In the last few days we killed 100 of them and lost 2 of ours. To my mind that is moral.

The US had to face this dilemma near the end of WWII. It understood that to invade Japan street by street (just as Israel must entertain invading Gaza street by street) would result in the loss of one million Americans and Japanese. So instead it gave a warning that if Japan didn’t unconditionally surrender its cities would be flattened. Japan refused and so two A-Bombs were dropped resulting the the deaths of 250,000 Japanese. Then Japan surrendered. In the result, far less people were killed.

The Middle East Forum recently published a major paper The Psychological Asymmetry of Islamist Warfare by Irwin J. Mansdorf and Mordechai Kedar.

The Israeli military faces a serious dilemma because it adheres to a specific moral code. Despite Arab propaganda to the contrary, Israeli military planners respect human life.2007-11-25 10:28:03 Tel Aviv University philosophy professor Asa Kasher and current Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intelligence chief Amos Yadlin write that, even when dealing with terrorists, Israeli soldiers conduct operations “in a manner that strictly protects human life and dignity by minimizing all collateral damage to individuals not directly involved in acts or activities of terror.”c661ad9e6c5a77245da3aafed305f2c5 When trying to oust terrorists from Jenin in April 2002, for example, Israeli commanders decided to pursue a house-to-house ground strategy rather than employ the kind of airpower that would keep Israeli soldiers out of danger but would heighten the risk of collateral civilian casualties.1 This decision cost the lives, in one incident, of thirteen IDF soldiers in an ambush in the Hawashin district on April 9.

The Israeli judiciary also provides a check on the military. Israeli courts regularly impose restrictions on military tactics, despite the “price paid by the limitations put on the army’s actions.” Arab petitioners have a voice. Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz wrote that Israel’s courts represent an “independent judiciary willing to stand up to its own government.” In 2004, the Israeli High Court of Justice ruled for petitioner Fatma al-Aju against the Israeli military in a case that called for the IDF to take into consideration obligations towards civilians, such as allowing medical teams to enter combat areas, and other humanitarian needs when planning military operations. The court also sided with Palestinian Arabs regarding the routing of Israel’s security barrier.0 Arab states have no such judicial independence nor are their leaderships subject to the rule of law.

Avi Dichter, Israel’s public security minister, spoke to this predicament in the context of the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war: “You can in a short time; you can flood southern Lebanon with ground troops, and you can bomb villages without warning anyone, and it will be faster. But you’ll kill a lot more innocent people and suffer a lot more casualties, and we don’t intend to do either.” Maj.-Gen. Giora Eiland, Israel’s national security advisor from 2005 to 2006, explained the Israeli decision-making process: “We are forced to kill someone only when four conditions are met: Number one, there is no way to arrest someone. Number two, the target is important enough. Number three, we do it when we believe that we can guarantee very few civilian casualties. And number four, we do it when we believe that there is no way that we can delay or postpone this operation, something that we consider as a ticking bomb.”[16]

Israel is further harmed by the invocation of international law to implicate the legitimacy of its fight against its adversaries. International law is routinely misconstrued by the media commentators and non-specialists who cite it. Some journalists, for example, describe Israeli treatment of Palestinian terrorists as a contravention of international law. This is misleading. Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, among others, fail to meet the criteria required for full protection under the Geneva conventions.[17] More broadly, human rights groups selectively quote international law but fail to note that “protected persons” (i.e., citizens under occupation) may not participate in violent activities against the occupying power.[18] Despite rhetoric to the contrary, there is no “right of resistance” under international law to either civilians under occupation or irregular forces that purport to challenge an occupier.[19]

These constraints are voluntarily imposed on Israel not only by others but by Israel itself. Furthermore such constraints flow from the Geneva Convention which Smith says doesn’t apply. Such thinking places our soldiers in greater jeopardy and is thus immoral.

I have trouble with his conclusions

How to balance military needs, international humanitarian law, and the reality of facing an enemy whose tactics are not restrained by accepted conventions are challenges to which Israel and other Western nations need to devote serious thought.

This suggests that there is international law which applies. That’s the first problem. As long on Israel doesn’t intentional kill civilians it can do everything else. Don’t muddy the waters.

In the short-term, Israel can take the lead by repeatedly and forcefully asserting the moral high ground by pointing out that civilian causalities are never intentional but, given the cynical tactics of the enemies it must fight, are regrettably inevitable. Israeli spokespersons must further assert that the culpability for civilian casualties lies with the terrorists who have deliberately chosen to wage war against Israel from within civilian populations precisely because of the propaganda benefits of such tactics.

Why is it “asserting the moral high ground” to say the civilian casualties weren’t intentional. Instead he should say that nothing Israel did was illegal because no civilian casualties were intentional.

The 144,000 Preachers of Righteousness, Part One

"The Earth belongs to HaShem and the Fullness Thereof." The 144,000: The Facts Part One of Four By Ben Ruach ha Kodesh (John of AllFaith) © 3.3.08 Perhaps there is no area of biblical prophecy so misapplied and misunderstood as the identities and ministry of HaShem's 144,000 end time ministers. Will this study correct this situation? Of course not. People will always believe as they choose and the various inaccurate versions of this important prophecy apparently provides something to those who hold these views. What I intend to do here is show who these ministers are and what they will be doing in the next few years for those who wish to know what's coming soon. Amos 3:7 Surely Lord HaShem will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Note that this important verse does not say until he reveals it in the Scriptures nor until a minister preaches on these scriptures, but rather until He reveals the information to His prophets. These scriptures we discuss are important of course, and often eye-opening, however they are not enough! Not at times like these when there is so much uncertainty and understandable disbelief! When HaShem performs great acts He always first notifies His prophets. Although there have been a great many supposed/accepted prophets over the past hundred and fifty years or so, there have been none in the biblical sense of this term. There have been plenty of Bible expositors, teachers, psychics, soothsayers, mediums, seemingly inspired speakers and so on, but a prophet of HaShem is different than these. Every prophetic word spoken by a true prophet, in the biblical context, must not only come to pass but must come directly from HaShem. In the Tanach those who claim to be prophets but who prophecies do not come to pass are to be stoned! Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. Edgar Cayce, whom I deeply admire and respect to this day, both in that incarnation and his present one, was wrong on certain points and didn't claim to speak for HaShem. The Nostradamus prophecies are at points amazing, however they have not been without their failures and are, in many cases, so vague that they could mean anything. And like Cacye, he wasn't claiming to speak for HaShem. Herbert W. Armstrong is still accepted by many people as a true modern day prophet, but certain of his essential teachings directly violate the Scriptures and can be seen as Anti-Semitic. When his movement imploded these traits only increased through the competing "Church of God" groups that formed later. The same is true of Ellen White and her Seventh Day Adventist movement and of Charles Taze Russell and Judge Rutherford who established the Jehovah's Christian Witnesses sect and many other alleged modern day prophets who claim to disclose the identities of the 144,000. The point here is not to denigrate these and similar people and groups, they all have many good points to make and things to add to the discussion, but to point out an essential difference: True prophets, from a biblical/Noahide/Abrahamic/Nazarene perspective, boldly and unequivocally speak the exact words they are given to speak and they are never wrong. Never. When was the last time we beheld such a prophet on earth? The next time is coming soon! In my study of the Two Witnesses I describe the testimony and ministry of the next two prophets in some detail. The 144,000, from all evidence, will not be prophets as such. They will be preachers, encouragers, biblical expositors and news bringers who will confirm the prophetic messages of the Two Witnesses. According to some teachings the 144,000 will be something completely different than what the biblical prophets have told us. The Jehovah's Christian Witnesses teach that these will be the "anointed servant class" taken from all previous generations, with only a few still alive today. The Worldwide Church of God (and its various offshoots) teach that that only the 144,000 will be "saved," that for the past 6000 years of human history this small number of people have been chosen. Because of their righteousness, others will later be placed in new bodies (rather than being resurrected as the Bible teaches). Several groups, especially those that sprang form the Awakening of the late 1800's, hold similar views. But such views are not to be found in the Bible nor in the words of the prophets of HaShem. So, what do the prophets tell us? Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Why In Heaven's Name Would He Do That?

A Multiply friend posted a blog that said, in essence, "America, love it or leave it" and asked that God would bless the United States. The following is my reply. As its not the sort of reply my friend was looking for, I'm not going to reference her site here as the inspiration, but she is more than welcome to do so in the comments section below if she wishes.

The problem, it seems to me, is that there are many different "Americas."

There is the America of good natured, hard working people who are the "salt of the earth," who freely give to many worthy causes, who come together in times of danger and disaster for the public good, who support various helpful charities, who pay their taxes and fight in wars "to defend us" because they believe their leaders... but that's only one segment, and one that is fast shrinking into irrelevance at that.

BUT there is also the greedy war mongering America, the selfish ethnocentrist America that for many years has been practicing cultural imperialism throughout the planet. There is the infidel America that is hard at work seeking to destroy religion and faith around the world and at home through science so-called and Secular Humanism and media manipulation, there is the globalist America that now controls about 75% of the global economy (this "America" is falling fast as the Euro passes the dollar in international trade in preparation of the emergence of the North American Union -- and its coming Amero that will replace the dollar -- to be followed by the Global Union as the prophets foretold). There is the illegal IRS and Federal Reserve Board that robs Americans blind of their properties and earnings and sends this vast wealth not to the American people but into Bilderberg coffers for the Novus Ordo Seclorum and the Illuminati...

So... Which "America" IS America?
Which "America" is above justifiable criticism?

When the victims of American foreign policy and corporate imperialism speak out, they generally do so as legitimate victims of US concentration camps, Black Op Sites, torture farms, impoverished and squalid cities that have been raped by US corporations and propped up by US backed military juntas around the globe... They aren't making this stuff up.

Just as we "salt of the earth" Americans often can not fathom why our nation is so hated around the world -- according to almost every poll I know of the US is now viewed as world's #1 exporter of terrorism and the least trusted military power on the planet -- so too these victims of US aggression can not understand how it is that we don't understand their plights or what our government is doing to them.

Just as the early Euro-Americans intentionally infected the blankets of the Cherokee with small pocks to destroy their rightful claims to the land we stole as they were force-marched along the Trail of Tears wrapped in these deadly blankets, so too today US interests are deliberately 'poisoning' the earth and spreading war and terrorism for their own fascist, globalist purposes.

The US is not the nation most Americans have been brainwashed to believe it is.

So... God bless America?

We "legally" murder millions of our own children.
We have one of the worst infant mortality rates on earth.
We are the only industrialized nation that does not provide health care for its people.
We have outlawed God from our schools.
We have outlawed God from all government properties (courthouses, parks, street corners etc) and yet our money hypocritically says, "In God We Trust!"
We have surrendered most of our privacy rights.
We illegally rob our citizens through the illegally established and maintained IRS.
We have created a society based on greed and hedonism on the backs of others, after stealing the land of the aboriginal peoples who lived here first and slaughtering most of them.
The US Congress has a lower turn-over than the Soviet Politburo did!
We have legally held slaves of people of African and Asian decent (and others) and African Americans still have not achieved true equality.
We deny marriage, adoption rights and other legal protections to over 10% of our citizens AND most Americans believe to do otherwise would be immoral!
We provide the market for slave and forced labor camps from China and elsewhere by outsourcing American jobs to their brutal regimes at the loss of American jobs and allowing slave-produced goods to be imported.
We are engaged in unjustifiable wars of aggression and ongoing terrorist acts around the globe.

On and on this list could go...

AND all of this is happening by the allowance of We the People, we, the salt of the earth. While we were watching Oprah and American Idol our nation was stolen right from under our noses and we continue to support this situation. That means, WE the People are responsible for it ALL because we don't stop it. By allowing this system to continue we are all guilty of ALL crimes conducted by the US government and its associated juntas and cartels.

But... we Americans are the freest people on earth...

So... Why on earth would God even consider blessing the US?

Question: My loved died and....

From time to time I post the Q and A's from my AllExpert Account. This one was listed as private so of course I have removed all personal info. It is however an important question for us to discuss.

What are your thoughts?

A poster recently lost a loved one and wishes to understand. This person believes in reincarnation and wants to know if the loved one return in the family or in some knowable/identifiable way. Also, is the loved one aware of the poster's prayers, sadness etc.

My reply:

Hello [poster],

Please accept my condolences on your [loved ones] passing.

All religions and spiritual traditions debate what happens after we leave the body. As you don't specify your religion I will answer according to my personal beliefs. If you have further questions do feel free to write back.

Life in this material world seems to be all there is, however this life is but a minor point, a mere period that comes between sentences in a book that has neither sure beginning nor end.

As we travel through this life we are constantly changing, passing from conception to fetus to baby to infant to child through puberty and on into adulthood and old age. This is part of the natural cycle of life in the material worlds, and this cycle never ends. After old age, usually, the soul leaves the body and continues on her way.

Where the soul goes, what she experiences, this is where the debate comes in.

I believe, as taught in the Indian Vedas and other sagely works, that there are three basic influences that determine this:

Karma ("we reap what we sow"): our actions and the reactions to them,
Dharma (or Torah): the Laws of God and principles of rightness and justice, and
Marga (or destiny): the resultant course we walk through life.

Taken together these three influences control samsara, the eternal cycles of our lives.

We can speak of these influences in general terms. Do good, get good, do bad, get bad, etc. however in any specific case we simply don't know, at least not without employing psychic techniques which are themselves questionable.

I can not therefore tell you where your dear [loved one] is now.

It is my belief that between lifetimes there is a period of waiting and resting, of re-evaluation of the life just lived. This state of being is sometimes referred to as the Realm of the Akasha, but again, this can be debated. It is nonetheless my belief that the recently departed are in this state, fully aware of their loved ones, indeed, more fully aware than during their physical lives. They see and understand the underpinnings of our grief and sorrow, they typically forgive the wrongs we may have done them, they realize the blessings and love they may have not seen during their physical incarnation. They typically attend their funerals, wakes, cremations etc. and hear our eulogies.

During this period of "time" (a meaningless phrase in this interim realm but one that usually, according to many, lasts around 7-14 years) the soul that was Mom, Dad, Friend, Child and so on comes into a state of Peace (balance), both peace that the previous life is over and peace that the time to continue on has come. It is for this reason, in part, that while mourning the loss of our dearly departed is normal and emotionally healthy, it is also important that we release them, that we let them to go on so they may more easily continue their natural course in peace. This of course takes time.

Now, according to many sources, souls tend to reincarnate within certain familial circles. Grandkids are sometimes their own grandparents, husbands become grand-daughters, sons become mothers, and so on. This is somewhat conjecture of course, based on "rebirthing" experiences, dreams, psychic readings and so on, but I believe it is more often the case than random chance would allow. Many Hindus and others from ancient traditions believe souls always return to the previous families. I would not go that far, in part because my present life bears no familial connections with my past two (to my knowledge). Again, this is a debatable topic.

While the following is obviously a very simplistic example, it gives an idea of how I believe this process works:

While in Akashic awareness the soul or jiva contemplates everything from all past lives and determines what would have made life better, more spiritually OR materially progressive and so on. With this determination the soul decides, for instance, I would like to be male (or female), and Indian (American, Mexican, Chinese etc), rich (average or poor etc), a devout Christian (or Hindu or Muslim....or Agnostic or Atheist or to simply avoid the topic all together) and so on. As the Soul determines what she wants to experience in the upcoming life, the Holy Ones (angels, fates, pick your terms) enter the picture...

The Holy Ones consider the soul's desire and then modifies it according to the soul's Karma, Dharma and Marga. You wish to be female, however you need to be male this time because... You choose to be born into wealth, but will need to be born in poverty because... however, you will have a natural disposition towards pulling yourself out of that poverty and into extreme wealth: you will be a "natural entrepreneur" (or perhaps you will be a person for whom wealth holds no attraction or even an aversion). Your birth family will be through your grand-daughter due to your continued attraction, however relations will be strained by your lack of religious faith... etc.

Again, this is a gross over-simplification but your get the idea.

As it is not possible, objectively, to understand ones karma (why we do as we do, what influences from this and past lives have lead us to this present point etc) we can not say with certainty where our karma, in harmony with dharma and manifested according to marga will lead us next.

The essential purpose of rebirth, I believe, is to allow the soul or jiva to come into the eventual realization that only by choosing to submit oneself to Ek Devata (God however conceived) do we find true happiness and fulfillment in our existence. This is the ultimate goal of the process. Family, religious, national, cultural, racial, etc. ties are all temporary constraints and opportunities in our on-going spiritual development and eventual return Home.

With the passing of a loved one our best response is to grieve for our loss as we need to, to pray that they will make wise decisions in their future (knowing that the soul is eternal), and to learn from their example that this life is fleeting, that sooner than we now believe we will be following them into eternity and our loved one will be mourning our loss.

From the Bhagavad Gita 2:11: The Blessed One said: While speaking learned words, you are mourning for what is not worthy of grief. Those who are wise lament neither for the living nor for the dead.

2:12: Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings, nor in the future shall any of us cease to be.

2:13: As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul also passes into another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a change.

2:14: O son of Kunti, sensory perceptions afflict one with cold, heat, pleasure and pain. They appear and disappear and are impermanent. Therefore endure them all O descendant of Bharata.

The Two Witnesses

As we consider our near future few events will be more earth-shaking than the ministry of the Two Witnesses. There are of course those who say we only guess when we speak of the End Times. They demand that all of this is pure conjecture, nothing more. We're just being "negative," they accuse: The future is ours to create! And I agree! Like the past, the future is ours to create as we will. And, in foreknowledge of our free choices, HaShem has revealed what we will and are choosing to do and how He will and is responding so that those who choose to embrace God's coming kingdom will be ready. In an attempt to appear biblically informed and hoping to disprove the prophets of HaShem, these folks sometimes quote the Master himself: Matt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But they should have kept reading! Matt. 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. The people of Noah's Day (and Manu's) had advance notice of what was happening. And so do we. In this twenty fourth chapter of Matthew's Gospel the Master gives very specific information, information that could not possibly have pointed to ANY generation in history prior to ours, information that will be fully realized in our lifetimes. Nearly one third of the Bible, when the Tanach and New Testament are taken together, is prophetic and nearly eighty percent of those prophecies concern our period of time. In this study I'll be focusing on the prophecies regarding the Two Witnesses. As is often the case the prophets are clear but require us to do a bit of research to fully understand their purport. The coming ministry of these two prophets is vital to the establishment of the earthly Kingdom of HaShem that the soon coming Moshiach will establish, so let's look into this a bit. The Two Witnesses Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. This prophecy was written several years after the Master's prophecy about the destruction of Jerusalem and its Holy Temple was fulfilled. John is in prison having visions of our generation. In this vision John is shown the consecration of the rebuilt Temple and the Holy City and the events leading up to it. He is then shown how Gentiles will once again gain control of Israel for another forty two months (or three and a half years). The short-lived return of Gentile rule (as described in the Muslim prophecies) will occur after (and as a result of) the Jews rejection of the claims of Rex Mundi (following his desecration of the newly built temple), which is a topic for another study (See here). In this highly charged setting John introduces us to the Two Witnesses: Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These two prophets will be witnesses against the people of the earth. They will testify to the rightness of God's coming intervention in the affairs of humanity. The word "witnesses" as used here is translated from "martus" which references testifying in a legal, court of law, sense. Their testimony will continue for a thousand two hundred and threescore days, which is to say, for the same three and half year period that sees the Holy City again trodden under the feet of the Gentiles (compare Matt 24:15-20). What these Witnesses behold among their fellow humans will sadden and sicken them. They will accurately bear witness against the people of the earth for destroying the environment, for waging unjust wars and genocides, for allowing human beings (and animals) to needlessly suffer and die of disease, abuse and starvation while others live in the lap of luxury. They will condemn the deaths of the unborn, the elderly, the weak... They will shine the light of truth on all the evils of humanity and none will be found blameless. And the Two Witnesses will point an accusing finger of Deja vu at the NWO leaders of the planet who, like the first planetary emperor of the age Nimrod, have set themselves up in opposition to HaShem (Gen 10:9) and who even now are building a metaphorical ziggurat or tower to reach the very heavens (Gen 11:4)! But HaShem's response will be the same! As these Two Witness, like modern day Noahs, deliver HaShem's judgments upon our generation they will find no joy in their work. Indeed, the prophet tells us they will be dressed in sackcloth, the garments of mourning. Yet these judgments must come before peace and justice can be established. Like the prophets of old, the Two Witnesses will make that which is now hidden known, they will identify and judge those who stand in opposition to HaShem and His plans for global peace and good will, and they will act on those judgments. But the prophets of old, even Elijah, never acted with such power nor on a global scale as these two will! Rev. 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. So the question is, who are these prophets? We are told that they are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks who stand before HaShem. What does this tell us? Zec 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.... 11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? 13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. In a recent post I discussed the "Sheep and the Goats" and referenced them as "Hinderers" (for that study on my AllFaith.com site Click Here or Here to read it on my Multiply site). In that study I explain how the anointing of HaShem is placed upon those who willingly join this struggle for HaShem's Kingdom. This word "anointing" is the literal translation of the word "christ" and all who accept the role of hinderer (compare II Thes 2) are anointed by HaShem, they are, in this sense, christs. It is in this sense that Master Y'shua, who clearly did not fulfill the Messianic prophecies, can rightly be referenced as Christ, the firstborn of many siblings. "Christ" is not synonymous with "Messiah." One christ will be the Messiah. It is he whom Jews and Christians await (for more in this see my Identifying the Moshiach. In every generation there have been divinely anointed people ready to perform any task for the King. In these last days we are all called to hinder the rise and revelation of the Beast, the Rex Mundi. The Two Witnesses are such 'hinderers'. They stand (in readiness) to carry out their ministry. Of these anointed people Master Y'shua tells us, Matt 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen. What these anointed sheep can say is that to the best of their ability they are prepared to serve in any way the Master may desire, however it is always HaShem who delegates the tasks and issues the calls. If one servant falls another stands ready. The Two Witnesses will be chosen and revealed when the time is right as desired by HaShem. Many are called, but few are chosen. Rev. 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. No wonder they are clothed in sackcloth! Despite the righteousness of their judgments, in many ways this will surely be a heartbreaking ministry. Rev. 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. The Two Witnesses will minister specifically in and to Eretz Israel, however the scope of their testimony will be global. There is no reason to assume they will only work in Israel of course, they will doubtless appear anywhere on the planet according to the will of HaShem. By the time the Two Witnesses come into their ministry, three and a half years after the rise of Rex Mundi (the coming Biderberg Merovingian globalist dictator), vast areas of the earth will have been decimated, millions will have been killed by war, revolution, natural disasters and plagues, and now it will be their grim task to add to the devastation! Sackcloth indeed! Their message will be a simple one, yet oh so profound! Reject the Rex Mundi Reject the authority of the global government Reject the global tracking and monetary implant Reject the mandated Secular Humanist religion/philosophy that is advancing the Rex Mundi as an avatar and incarnation Reject the False Prophet who will arise from Rome and declare Rex Mundi to be the Messiah. Reject the divisiveness of all man-made religion and philosophy Embrace the One God according to Light you have been awarded: The Indwelling One. By this point the identity of the One True God should be more certain for those who wish to know, more obscure for those who don't. Simple yes, but those who accept their message will have signed their own death warrants. But then again, those who accept Rex Mundi have done the same. The vast majority of us will not survive the coming seven years, especially the second half. The wise thing to do is develop an eternal perspective and prepare yourself to stand against Hell itself because that is what is coming. Hell and its King. Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Do everything you can to stand... and then... Stand! The testimony of the Two Witnesses will fill the earth. Those who hear them will be called to make a decision. The time for fence-sitting is over. The Novus Ordo Seclorum or New World Order government will seek to silence the Witnesses and all who accept their testimony. Once the verbal testimony of the Two Witnesses is complete this will be allowed to happen. They will embrace martyrdom as an example to the rest. Only then will their true testimony be received! The two will be murdered in the streets of Jerusalem! Rev. 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. It will be a wonderful day! That is, wonderful for those who reject the coming reign of HaShem! The people of the earth who still survive at this point and who still believe in the Rex Mundi and his Secular Humanist world view will have despised the Two Witnesses! The power of their testimony and actions will cause even the most devout Atheist and Secular Humanist to question if perchance there is a God in Heaven, a God who will soon destroy the New World Order and its Elite. But now, now Rex Mundi has destroyed these worrisome prophets! He has proved himself to be all powerful! The people will celebrate the death of the Two Witnesses, but more than that, they will celebrate the death of religion! They will celebrate their victory over this ages-old scourge! In passing, it's worth noting that there is a common Christian belief that prior to the rise of the Rex Mundi (some say at the midway point of his reign) there will be a "Rapture" that will rescue all true Christians. This has been the theme of several books and movies lately, most notable the very unbiblical Left Behind series. This verse (verse 13) plainly shows that even towards the end of the Great Tribulation there will will still be a remnant of Believers on the earth: "the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven." The Church of the Last Days is described at Revelation 3:15-20 and elsewhere. There is no way "the Laodicean Church" is going anywhere. Sorry. Why is this going occur? Why will HaShem send the two Witnesses? Matt. 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake [ie to save the Jews] those days shall be shortened. Israel is the key. Chasmarv agrees with my view that followers of Master Y'shua don't need to tithe, but differs with me on who does. I'd like to move our conversation here instead of my guestbook, and so will post his comments and my replies unedited. II Chron. 31:5,6 tells us for instance, "And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly. And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps. These people were neither farmers not heardsmen. They purchased the animals and fruit of the fields to offer at the temple as their tithes. They also offered their gold and silver etc. to be used (melted down etc.) in the temple. IE "the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps." One doesn't lay sheep down in heaps. The early Hebrews were people of the land. Animal and grain sacrifices were required of them all, regardless of their occupation. This is part of what so angered Master Y'shua when he came to the Temple and saw the money changers. The people were going to the Temple to worship HaShem and were being overcharged for their sacrificial (ie tithe-based) animal purchases. By doing this, "the money changers" were directly stealing from the Holy Temple and the Levites who depended on these sacrifices. It was a serious charge he made and he was furious to think that in the name of religious observance these people would do such a thing. Matt 21:10: And when he [Master Y'shua] was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. There are a great many such verses that disagree with your point. It sounds to me as though all things the Jews "bring in" they are to tithe on. Also, I wouldn't call tithing taboo, it is simply inapplicable for Noahides as I explain in this piece. According to mainline Protestant theology, salvation cannot be achieved through any form of "works" or deeds. Tithing would certainly fall into this category of works. The Daniel verse he references says: "Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by almsgiving, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if there may be a lengthening of thy prosperity.'(JPS) Did you catch that? The prophet says: ...break off thy sins by almsgiving, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor.... According to Master Y'shua its not so much the giving of alms as it is the intention that lies behind it. Literally "sin" is to "miss the mark" of perfection, but practically, when we sin we harm others, we think more of ourselves than of our neighbors. By changing the focus of our intention outwards to others we bless them and as a result HaShem will bless us because God is the eternal well wisher of us all. This is essential Judaism and was essential to the teachings of Master Y'shua. Not only does this teaching not exist in Judaism, it runs counter to the very heart of the Jewish faith. This verse in Micah almost prophetically asks: ...Shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?' We might add... as HaShem did? No, the prophet declares under inspiration, "It hath been told thee, O man, what is good, and what HaShem doth require of thee: only to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy G-d." What does it mean to repent? We have this definition from the Wikipedia: In Biblical Hebrew the idea of repentance is represented by two verbs: שוב shuv (to return) and נחם nicham (to feel sorrow). In the New Testament, the word translated as 'repentance' is the Greek word μετάνοια (metanoia), "after/behind one's mind", which is a compound word of the preposition 'meta' (after, with), and the verb 'noeo' (to perceive, to think, the result of perceiving or observing). In this compound word the preposition combines the two meanings of time and change, which may be denoted by 'after' and 'different'; so that the whole compound means: 'to think differently after'. Metanoia is therefore primarily an after-thought, different from the former thought; a change of mind accompanied by regret and change of conduct, "change of mind and heart", or, "change of consciousness". Hi David, We are not only released from paying tithes, it was never required of us (assuming you are not Jewish). Tithing was the Jewish income tax. In ancient times religion and politics were often wed, as is still the case today with Islam where the "deen" or religion and "ummah" or nation are one. In the same way, although Judaism began as a Semitic ethnic group (it was never a race despite common beliefs) it was more accurately thought of as a nation in biblical times (the earthly kingdom of God in exile). Citizens of that kingdom were ordered to pay an income tax, a flat tax of 10% of all gross income (be it money, animals etc.). As the early Jewish followers of Jesus debate Gentile conversion in the Book of Acts it is clear that they consider themselves a "religion" rather than a "nation" as they pointedly were 'waiting for a kingdom not made by human hands.' Jesus came to be viewed more as the spiritual savior of the world rather than as a reigning king (Meshiach or Messiah). As people attempting to follow Jesus we are to submit our whole selves unto God. Our tithe then is 100%, not just 10%. We are to consider ourselves stewards of all things granted us by our Master. Once the Kingdom of God is established there will probably be a proclamation made that everyone must tithe 10%, time will tell, but during "the Church Age" tithing is still only in effect for Jews. Jesus references the tithes of the Jews several times in the Gospels. Virtually every person he spoke with, with only a handful of exceptions, were Jews. Indeed Jesus said he only came to minister to Jews (Matt 15:24), but outside of that, only the Book of Hebrews mentions tithes and it does so in each case as a historical reference (ex. Heb 7:9). As you probably know, not all Christians will agree with this answer however I am convinced it is correct. If one wishes to have a congregation and offer various programs one needs money, lots of it... believe me I know... and teaching the people they must tithe is an effective way to raise funds. The truth is however, this is not a biblical requirements for Christians. Christians should be taught that everything they possess is holy and belongs to God and that they should invest their possessions in the coming Kingdom by supporting their local congregations and various other efforts as they feel led of the Holy Spirit. The IHS, Chi-Rho and Name of Master Y'shua

IHS Chi-Rho and the Name of Master Y'shua By Ben Ruach ha Kodesh (John of AllFaith) © 2.19.08 A friend asks: John, I have a quick question that I'm sure you can help me with. You know the "IHS" symbols you might see in some churches. Well, I'm pretty sure the "I" stands for Ishtar and the "H" stands for Horus, but I'm uncertain about the "S". I think it is Shamash, but I'm not sure. Can you help or correct me? James My reply: Hi James, This common belief is, in my opinion, completely unfounded, but yes, those who hold it to be true do use Shamash for the "S" usually. As you know, Shamash was the Akkadian Sun God and the God of Justice in Babylonia and Assyria as well as the Sumerian Utu (which opens several interesting possibilities that I wont delve into here). The truth is however that "IHS" is one of the oldest Nazarene Way symbols there is (this and the Maranatha fish), demonstratively dating back to the third century and probably even before. During the pre-Catholic period of Jewish and Nazarene Way persecution it was necessary for the Believers in Master Y'shua's reformed Jewish teachings to hide their faith and yet be able to communicate with each other. This gave birth to "IC" and "XC" and "IHS" and "XPS" being used as monograms for Iesous Christos (ie "Jesus the Anointed"). These letters and emblems were scrawled onto walls etc. as symbols directing people to places of worship, safety and so on, just as the Maranatha fish was used. Emperor Constantine, who founded Christianity, worshiped Sol Invictus, the Roman Sun God, until the day he died. On his death bed he ordered coins with his image on one side and the Sun God on the other, then took Catholic communion for the first time in his life, and then died. The continuing presence of Sol Invictus within Catholicism is seen in the sun that enlightens the IHS monogram as shown above. As Rome co-opted Master Y'shua's Nazarene Way movement, they incorporated these earlier symbols as charms (essentially). Catholicism also took what came to be known, in the 4th century, as the Chi-Rho, the (symbolic Gnostic) cross that supposedly led Constantine to his (mock) conversion. Hence, the Chi-Rho, the Maranatha fish and the IHS monogram (which often has a tiny Chi-Rho above and little fishes or three nails below it) became official Church emblems. Interestingly enough, once Rome constituted the New Religion (ie Christianity) and banned all others, the true meaning of the monograms of our Master's name were largely forgotten, but the charms were powerful and popular with the masses and soon they gave rise to the name "Jhesus" or Jesus which is still generally used today. Our Master's name however was never "Jesus." It is Y'shua, Yeshua or, in English, Joshua, not "Jesus"... but what's in a name... (Philippians 2:10). As initials, any combination of letters can mean anything. For instance, "IRS" (the Infernal Revenue Service) could just as easily stand for the International Religious Society (a wonderful group that does not abbreviate their name for some strange reason hehe. There are lots of people who bash the Roman Catholic Church at every opportunity. I am not among them. I have a deep and abiding love and respect for MUCH of what that Church has accomplished over the past 1500 years. MUCH of its present and past leadership have contributed enormously to the betterment of the world and to the quest for God. Some of the holiest and most saintly people I have ever had the honor of knowing have been Catholic priests, nuns, monks, brothers and lay people... and Saint Francis remains one of the people I most admire. Having said that, I also think its vital to rightly understand the true history of the Christian faith and the negative (as well as positive) part in that history played by Roman Catholicism and its complete re-creation of Master Y'shua's Noahide Nazarene Way.
