In yet another World War Three provoking move the US dictatorship has sent a navy warship, the USS McFaul, to Georgia!
For humanitarian aid of course...
BUT... Right on the ship's website it tells us the USS McFaul's mission:
"To conduct prompt and sustained combat operations at sea in support of national interest."
This is NOT a humanitarian ship!
Note that Reuters and most other news media clearly says Georgia was the aggressor NOT Russia:

Georgia, backed by the US, was the clear instigator of this war.

Follow the money honey. Its largely about the oil. If the US/NWO can intimidate the Russian Federation sufficiently they may be able to gain political influence and control of Russia's oil.

U.S. officials have said the conflict could affect Russia's membership in the Group of Eight industrialized nations and its bid to join the World Trade Organisation.
The WTO is one of the main organs of the Bilderberg Group. Russia would doubtless like the economic benefits of WTO membership however as this threat shows, the US and EU runs the show and membership will be used to blackmail world powers. Nations that refuse to accept Bilderberg authority and the ideas of Novis Ordo Seclorum will be attacked and destroyed, as the US is currently preparing to do with Russia and Iran.
U.S. navy arrives in Georgia

BATUMI, Georgia (Reuters) - A U.S. navy warship delivered humanitarian aid on Sunday for victims of Georgia's brief war with Russia while Moscow ignored Western demands to pull its remaining troops from the Caucasus country's heartland.
Russia says residual troops are peacekeepers needed to avert further bloodshed and to protect Georgia's separatist, pro-Moscow provinces of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Moscow withdrew the bulk of its forces from core Georgia on Friday.
But in a sign of simmering tensions, a fuel train exploded on Georgia's main east-west rail line on Sunday near the central town of Gori after hitting a landmine, according to Georgian officials. A huge plume of black smoke climbed into the sky.
Georgia's Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze told Reuters the damaged rail link was vital to the economy of Georgia and its neighbors, and Azeri officials said oil cargoes were being held up at the Georgian border following the explosion.
The Russia-Georgia conflict erupted on August 7-8 when Tbilisi tried to retake South Ossetia. A Russian counter-offensive pushed into Georgia proper, crossing its main east-west highway and nearing a Western-backed oil pipeline from Azerbaijan.
Russian troops also moved into Western Georgia from Abkhazia, another breakaway region on the Black Sea. Hundreds of people were killed, tens of thousands displaced and housing and infrastructure wrecked in the fighting.
A Reuters reporter in Batumi, 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of the port of Poti where Russian troops are still present, saw a giant crane unload 55 tons of aid from the USS McFaul.
Two other U.S. ships were due to follow the guided missile destroyer to the port. The United States, a strong ally of Georgia, has already delivered some aid by military cargo plane but is now shipping in beds and food.
"The United States is our great friend. They have arrived at such a difficult time. It means we are not alone," Georgian Defence Minister David Kezerashvili told reporters in Batumi.
TRADE ROUTE
The United States and Europe fear the continued Russian presence in Georgia will cement the country's ethnic partition, undermine President Mikheil Saakashvili's pro-Western government and threaten vital energy pipelines criss-crossing the country.
Russia's action has also unnerved other ex-Soviet republics.
In a clear swipe at Moscow, Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko said on Sunday his country -- home to a large ethnic Russian population -- must boost its defenses and speed up its efforts to join NATO.
Russia sees the ex-Soviet republics as part of its legitimate sphere of influence and opposes their NATO bids, but the U.S. envoy to the Caucasus said Russia had inadvertently helped Georgia's bid for NATO membership with its actions.
In Georgia, the West is particularly worried about a Russian checkpoint set up at the port of Poti, which lies outside the security zone Russia says is covered by its peacekeeping mandate and is hundreds of kilometers from South Ossetia.
"Putting up permanent facilities and checkpoints are inconsistent with the (ceasefire) agreement," White House spokesmanGordon Johndroe said.
Underscoring the potential for renewed violence, Russian soldiers manning a checkpoint on the road between Zugdidi and Senaki in western Georgia fired shots in the air to disperse a protest by angry residents. No injuries were reported.
Russia has deployed its "peacekeepers" at a series of posts in the Poti area and also in a buffer zone outside South Ossetia and Abkhazia, saying they are allowed under the terms of a French-brokered ceasefire deal. But France urged Moscow on Saturday to order its forces out of Poti as soon as possible.
Though not Georgia's busiest port for oil, Poti can load up to 100,000 barrels per day of oil products, which arrive by rail from Azerbaijan. It is also the gateway for merchandise moving to Georgia, other Caucasus republics and Central Asia.
BUFFER ZONE
French President Nicolas Sarkozy's office said he and Kremlin leader Dmitry Medvedev had agreed on Saturday on the need for an international mechanism under the auspices of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to replace Russian patrols in a buffer zone south of South Ossetia.
In a conflicting account, the Kremlin said replacing Russian peacekeepers was not discussed. Russia has earlier said South Ossetians and Abkhazians would only accept Russian peacekeepers.
Pope Benedict urged Russia and Georgia on Sunday to keep their promises to resolve the crisis peacefully.
Despite repeated demands for a complete Russian pullback to positions before the conflict, the West lacks leverage over a resurgent Russia whose oil and gas it sorely needs.

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.
Philip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit--just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver--for the health of the Democratic Party.
"I filed this action at this time," Berg stated, "to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated.".
Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator's background, and in today's lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls "dual loyalties" due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.
Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator's use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of "multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries" remains on the table.
In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama's mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, "apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight." As Sen. Obama's own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham--Obama's mother--gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.
Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama's birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals--Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital--in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple "registry of birth" records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.
Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama's mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a "natural born" citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.
Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed "natural born," that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen. Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama's registration to Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name "Barry Soetoro" and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.
The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery. In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama's half-sister.
"Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama's lies and obfuscations," Berg stated. "If the DNC officers ... had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws."
"It is unfair to the country," he continued, "for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected."

Chicago Sun-Times—A close examination of Obama’s first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career: Obama, who runs on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless, first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it. Alice Palmer, friend and mentor to Obama, served the district in the Illinois Senate for much of the 1990s. Decades earlier, she was a community organizer in the area when Obama was growing up in Hawaii. She risked her safe seat to run for Congress and touted Obama as a suitable successor. But when Palmer lost the congressional race, her supporters asked Obama to fold his campaign so she could easily retain her state Senate seat. Obama not only refused to step aside for the woman who was his friend and had recommended him for the seat, he filed challenges that nullified Palmer’s hastily gathered nominating petitions, forcing her to withdraw.
Black Activist Alice Palmer Trusted Barack Obama
In 1995, Alice Palmer was a longtime Black activist, a “beloved elder stateswoman” in the Illinois state senate. She had a long record of community organizing and had earned a ’safe seat’ — ie, no one even tried to run against her. She was doing excellent work for the Black activist community, and holding that seat securely for them, so they could spend their resources elsewhere.
Barack Obama had never run for office. He was a 32-year-old wannabee hanging around the Chicago political machine, hoping for someone to give him a boost.
Palmer had a chance to run in a special election for a higher office. Obama was young, with an inspiring manner and an innocent grin. Palmer trusted him.
She introduced him to party elders and donors as her probable successor, and helped him gather signatures to get on the ballot. She didn’t get any agreement with him in writing. She trusted him.
Then Palmer’s higher race went poorly. To get on the ballot for her old seat, she also gathered signatures, all under the 1995 list of registered voters — hastily, collecting only the minimum number of signatures needed. When she and party elders asked Obama to withdraw, offering him help in getting an additional post elsewhere, Obama refused. So Palmer prepared to let the voters decide between them.
But instead of letting the voters decide, Obama got Palmer (as well as the rest of his opponents) knocked off the ballot for her own seat. As soon as a 1996 list of registered voters was completed which purged over 15,000 voters from the registered list, he challenged all his opponents' signatures against the purged list. Since some voters had moved or died, not enough matches could be found. (Obama’s own signatures were never put to the same test.)
So Obama charged Palmer with ‘fraud’, had her disgraced and knocked out of politics — rather than run a fair campaign against her.
Running as the only name on the ballot, Obama took Palmer’s safe seat. Soon he abandoned it for an unsuccessful higher office run himself. So instead of Palmer in her safe seat and Obama in another seat, their party had lost them both.
Palmer made some mistakes, but she is not running for President of the US on a claim of judgement and unity and courtesy, as Obama claims to be. Palmer’s mistakes came from innocent optimism — and trusting Barack Obama.
GOLDEN, Colo. - The city manager of Golden, Colo., has decided to withdraw his invitation to let the Al-Jazeera news network broadcast from a barbecue in his backyard on the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
City manager Mike Bestor has apologized for any divisiveness he caused in the city of about 18,000, about 15 miles west of Denver.
Bestor made his decision after a City Council meeting Thursday at which residents complained the event with the English-language service of the Middle East news network would be disrespectful to veterans and active U.S. soldiers.
Al-Jazeera is based in Qatar and is funded by the royal family of the Persian Gulf nation. The network says its English service reaches at least 100 million households worldwide. (Source)

Georgia did not believe Russia would respond to its offensive in South Ossetia and was completely unprepared for the counter-attack, the deputy defence minister has admitted.
Batu Kutelia told the Financial Times that Georgia had made the decision to seize the South Ossetian capital of Tskhinvali despite the fact that its forces did not have enough anti-tank and air defences to protect themselves against the possibility of serious resistance.
“Unfortunately, we attached a low priority to this,” he said, sitting at a desk with the flags of Georgia and Nato (to which Georgia does not belong) crossed behind him. “We did not prepare for this kind of eventuality.”
The Georgian military felt there was only a low probability of a massive Russian counter-attack, despite the bloody way in which Russia destroyed Chechnya, on the other side of the Caucasus mountains, in two wars during the 1990s and the fact that separatists in South Ossetia and Abkhazia had Russian backing.
Georgian forces were unprepared when the Russian counter-strike came, Mr Kutelia said. “I didn’t think it likely that a member of the UN Security Council and the OSCE would react like this,” Mr Kutelia said.
His amazement that Russia would use force against a smaller neighbour was echoed by David Darchiashvili, head of the parliamentary European integration committee. “No one expected Russia would mobilise and invade,” he said
Georgia’s 20,000-man army, built up at a cost of $2bn with the help of US trainers and cast-off Warsaw Pact equipment, was organised to deal with “brushfire” wars with separatist enclaves on its borders and to contribute to missions such as Iraq as a way of shoring up Georgia’s ties with the west, not to do battle with Russia.
Mr Kutelia still puts blame for the war squarely on the Russians and their South Ossetian allies, saying that in early August Ossetian fighters began to shell Georgian positions and villages.
He said Russia had begun to move heavy armour through the Roki tunnel from North Ossetia before President Mikheil Saakashvili unleashed his military against the South Ossetian capital of Tskhinvali on August 7, but offered no evidence to back this up.
Mr Kutelia said that the Georgians moved despite not having enough anti-tank and air defences, not expecting the Russians to react with overwhelming force.“At some point there was no choice,” he said.
Mr Kutelia said damage to Georgia’s military infrastructure was “significant”, and it would take an enormous amount of foreign help to rebuild Georgia’s defensive capabilities, something the Russians have promised to flatten again if they feel it poses a threat.
Russian troops have entered many of Georgia’s military bases, often under the eyes of a cowed Georgian army. They have confiscated US Humvee vehicles, blown up coastguard vessels and ransacked some of Georgia’s most modern military bases, destroying radar and other air defences, as well as reportedly capturing Georgian tanks, small arms and ammunition. So far Russia has made no move to return its booty.
The cost of Georgia’s lack of preparation could be seen earlier this week, when seven soldiers killed in earlier fighting were buried in a cemetery on a dusty hillside outside the capital.
About 20 troops in fatigues, and one in black track pants, watched from the shade of a pine tree as a bulldozer pushed sandy soil into the long trench holding the bodies.
Several of my blog friends have argued that Georgia's attack on South Ossetia was the equivalent of the US War of North Aggression (aka the US Civil War). Implicit in this view is the inaccurate belief that Abkhazia and South Ossetia are part of Georgia. This is not accurate. Both Abkhazia and South Ossetia left the former Soviet Union at the same time as Georgia and all three declared their independence. Georgia has no national claims on either on Abkhazia or South Ossetia.
Here's some evidence for this fact:
"...Developments on Caucasus are on edge. The Russian Upper Parliament is holding an extraordinary meeting on Monday to discus the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia’s independence. The two seceded Republics declared their independence from Georgia unilaterally in the beginning of the 90s after the collapse of the former Soviet Union..." (emphasis mine, Source)
Russia is not seeking to take over these regions, they are preparing to officially recognize their independence.
Again:
Russian President Dmitri Medvedev said today, in no uncertain terms, that Georgia will lose South Ossetia. He also extended this forecast to the separatist enclave of Abkhazia, saying that it was "unlikely Ossetians and Abkhazians will ever be able to live together with Georgia in one state."
In fact, South Ossetia and Abkhazia have enjoyed de facto independence from Georgia for well over a decade, although international recognition has not followed. There are ethnic, religious and cultural differences between the two regions and Tbilisi that make unification impossible, even if the international community recognizes them as one country. Put bluntly, South Ossetians and Abkhazians hate Georgians and vice versa. (emphasis mine, Source)

South Ossetia is a region in the South Caucasus, formerly the South Ossetian Autonomous Oblast within the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic. A part of it has been de facto independent from Georgia since it declared independence[1] as the Republic of South Ossetia early in the 1990s during the Georgian-Ossetian conflict. The capital of the region is Tskhinvali.
The independence has not been diplomatically recognized by any member of the United Nations – which continues to regard South Ossetia as part of Georgia [Source]
In other words, when Georgia declared its independence in 1991 South Ossetia and Abkhazia did the same. Abkhazia and South Ossetia made it clear that they did not consider themselves part of Georgia or the Russian Republic. The existed as default autonomous regions until the US back government of Mikheil Saakashvili following Eduard Shevardnadze.

After graduation, while on internship in the New York law firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler in early 1995, Saakashvili was approached by Zurab Zhvania, an old friend from Georgia who was working on behalf of President Eduard Shevardnadze to recruit talented young Georgians to enter politics.
In January 2000, Saakashvili was appointed Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Saakashvili founded the United National Movement (UNM) in October 2001, a left-of-center political party akin to the Social Democrats in Europe with a touch of nationalism, to provide a focus for part of the Georgian reformists leaders. In June 2002, he was elected as the Chairman of the Tbilisi Assembly ("Sakrebulo") following an agreement between the United National Movement and the Georgian Labour Party. This gave him a powerful new platform from which to criticize the government.
Georgia held parliamentary elections on November 2, 2003 which were denounced by local and international observers as being grossly rigged. Saakashvilli claimed that he had won the elections (a claim supported by independent exit polls), and urged Georgians to demonstrate against Shevardnadze's government and engage in nonviolent civil disobedience against the authorities. Saakashvili's UNM and Burdjanadze-Democrats united to demand the ouster of Shevardnadze and the rerun of the elections.
On January 4, 2004 Mikheil Saakashvili won the presidential elections in Georgia with more than 96% of the votes cast, making him the youngest national president in Europe. Saakashvili ran on a platform of opposing corruption and improving pay and pensions. He has promised to improve relations with the outside world. Although he is strongly pro-Western and intends to seek Georgian membership of NATO and the European Union, he has also spoken of the importance of better relations with Russia. He faces major problems, however, particularly Georgia's difficult economic situation and the still unresolved question of separatism in the regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Abkhazia regards itself as independent of Georgia and did not take part in the elections, while South Ossetia favours union with its northern counterpart in Russia. [Source]
Saakashvili Chewing Over the Implications of His Attack on Russia!
Admittedly the history of this region is long and confusing however what is abundantly clear is that the people of South Ossetia and Abkhazia have never considered themselves to be part of Georgia.
When the US South formed the Confederacy they formally announced their intention to leave the Union for various reasons (of which slavery was but one). South Ossetia and Abkhazia however were NEVER part of the Republic of Georgia as even the BBC acknowledges below.
If there is a slight parallel to US history it is seen when the US broke away from English rule and tried to force Canada to join their union. Canada refused and kicked the US out of their region. South Ossetia and Abkhazia has been trying to kick Georgia out ever since declaring their independence from Russia and since the fall of the Soviet Union they have asserted their political and cultural independence from Georgia as even the official BBC time line makes clear. That time line shows, in part, the following events:
1991 - Georgian parliament declares secession from the Soviet Union after independence is overwhelmingly supported in a referendum.
Clashes in Tbilisi preceded the coup that ousted Gamsakhurdia
Gamsakhurdia is elected president by more than 85% of the votes cast.
1992 January - Gamsakhurdia is deposed after fighting in central Tbilisi between government troops and opposition militias.
South Ossetians vote in favour of independence in an unrecognized referendum.

In downtown Tskhinvali yesterday, many buildings were blackened and charred. Cars drove by with shattered windows. Local news reports put the civilian death toll at 1,600....
As I show elsewhere on this site, GEORGIA invaded South Ossetia and initially murdered around 1800 unarmed civilians and leveled Tskhinvali. At an attempt to both defend the civilian population and void war Russian troops entered.
This was obviously a false flag event by a corrupt globalist puppet leader with NWO aspirations. The only question is what the Elite hope to accomplish by it and they plan to do next.

Condoleezza Rice threatens Russia and reveals the depth of the New World Order intentions.

What's the difference between 1988 and 2008? In 1988 even though it was clear that the Elite were establishing a global dictatorship (Novus Ordo Seclorum) by that point, in 1988 it had much less ability to overtly act. Rice signs missile defense deal with Poland

WARSAW, Poland - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her Polish counterpart signed a deal Wednesday to build a U.S. missile defense base in Poland, an agreement that prompted an infuriated Russia to warn of a possible attack against the former Soviet satellite.
Rice dismissed blustery comments from Russian leaders who say Warsaw's hosting of 10 U.S. interceptor missiles just 115 miles from Russia's westernmost frontier opens the country up to attack.
Such comments "border on the bizarre frankly," Rice said, speaking to reporters traveling with her in Warsaw.
"When you threaten Poland, you perhaps forget that it is not 1988," Rice said. "It's 2008 and the United States has a ... firm treaty guarantee to defend Poland's territory as if it was the territory of the United States. So it's probably not wise to throw these threats around."
The deal has strained relations between Moscow and the West, ties already troubled by Russia's invasion of its former Soviet neighbor, U.S. ally Georgia, earlier this month.
Speaking to reporters traveling with her, Rice said, "the Russians are losing their credibility."
Rice and Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski signed the deal Wednesday morning.
"It is an agreement which will help us to respond to the threats of the 21st century," she said afterward.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the agreement came after tough but friendly negotiations.
"We have achieved our main goals, which means that our country and the United States will be more secure," he said.
After Warsaw and Washington announced the agreement on the deal last week, top Russian Gen. Anatoly Nogovitsyn warned that Poland is risking attack, and possibly a nuclear one, by deploying the American missile defense system, Russia's Interfax news agency reported.
Poles have been shaken by the threats, but NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop dismissed them Tuesday as "pathetic rhetoric."
"It is unhelpful and it leads nowhere," he told reporters at a NATO meeting in Brussels, Belgium.
Many Poles consider the agreement a form of protection at a time when Russia's invasion of Georgia has generated alarm throughout Eastern Europe. Poland is a member of the European Union and NATO, and the deal is expected to deepen its military partnership with Washington.
Polish President Lech Kaczynski also expressed "great satisfaction" at the outcome of the long months of negotiations.
Poland and the United States spent a year and a half negotiating, and talks recently had snagged on Poland's demands that the U.S. bolster Polish security with Patriot missiles in exchange for hosting the missile defense base.
Washington agreed to do so last week, as Poland invoked the Georgia conflict to strengthen its case.
The Patriots are meant to protect Poland from short-range missiles from neighbors — such as Russia.
The U.S. already has reached an agreement with the government in Prague to place the second component of the missile defense shield — a radar tracking system — in the Czech Republic, Poland's southwestern neighbor and another formerly communist country.
Approval is still needed the Czech and Polish parliaments.
No date has been set for the Polish parliament to consider the agreement, but it should face no difficulties in Warsaw, where it enjoys the support of the largest opposition party as well as the government.
Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff Anatoly Nogovitsyn warns that Georgia may be planning to commit false flag terror attacks by using mercenaries dressed in Russian uniforms, as Russia moved to guard sensitive infrastructure against terrorist attacks.
In a news briefing on Monday, he said: “I cannot rule out that they might use mercenaries with Slavic appearance for a provocation, clad in the uniform of Russian servicemen, in order to commit subversive acts both on Ossetian and Russian territory.”
In response to the threat, Russia has stationed troops around the Inguri Hydroelectric Plant, viewed as a potential target.
Nogovitsyn’s warning that Georgia may resort to subversion in order to enhance its well-groomed image of being the victim of a war that it started with the horrific bombardment of civilian targets in South Ossetia on August 8th, arrives amidst more examples of pro-Georgian western media bias.
Following in the footsteps of the BBC, Rupert Murdoch’s Sky News used footage of the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinvali in ruins after the Georgian assault and claimed it was the Georgian town of Gori after it was attacked by the Russians.
“Russia ’s TV channel Zvezda, which has five camera crews working in Tskhinvali, aired the same footage two days before, on Monday,” reports Pravda. “Sky News showed its report with no sound, whereas the people showed in the Russian report could be heard speaking Russian and Ossetian languages. The crying people shown in the report were heard cursing Georgian President Saakashvili for destructions and manslaughter.”
After the controversy came to light yesterday, the Sky News clip was quickly pulled from You Tube.
In addition, CNN last week showed Georgian forces attacking Russian civilians in Tskhinvali, the provincial capital of South Ossetia, but then claimed it showed Russians attacking Georgians in the Georgian town of Gori.

Western media coverage of the conflict has reflected a virulently pro-Georgia bias since the very start, once again proving that the press is not independent, but simply a mouthpiece for the same Anglo-American power structure for whom Georgia is merely another client state.

A RUSSIAN general has threatened a nuclear strike on Poland in the escalating "cold war" over US missile shield deployment in Eastern Europe.
Britain's Daily Telegraph reports that within a day of Poland signing a landmark deal with the US to host its global anti-missile shields in the country, Russia's deputy chief of staff warned Poland "is exposing itself to a strike 100 per cent".
General Anatoly Nogovitsyn told Russia's Interfax news agency: "By hosting these, Poland is making itself a target. This is 100 per cent certain. It becomes a target for attack. Such targets are destroyed as a first priority."
