Sign the Interfaith Joinder Brief to Repeal Prop 8

Join hundreds of other clergy, faith communities and organizations by signing an interfaith joinder brief to repeal Prop 8. Sign by January 13th to ensure your name or faith community will be submitted to California's Supreme Court. Our last interfaith brief effort was signed by over 400 clergy, faith communities and organizations, all affirming our religious freedom to marry same-sex couples. Our amicus brief was the only brief mentioned during oral arguments by Chief Justice George, who cited it to refute claims that "traditional" marriage is between one man and one woman. You can review the content of the joinder brief by reading the religious writ on which the brief is based. If necessary, provide copies of the writ to your Board members, denominational leaders, and colleagues to encourage your faith communities and organizations to join the brief. You can sign the joinder brief online by visiting the California Faith for Equality website before January 13th.
