We pray to HaShem, the Holy One of Israel, to fill our hearts with wisdom and understanding as we continue this study into the Revelation of our chief rabbi, Navi Y'shua haMoshiach. Armed with this understanding we pledge ourselves to standing always with Israel, even as the False Prophet and False Messiah arise.
The Idol of Rex Mundi: The Image of the Beast
As we discussed last time the Beast will be "like" the four beasts that preceded it (i.e. Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon, Cyrus' Medio-Persia, Alexander's Greece and the mighty Roman Empire. We equate the first three kingdoms with a specific ruler but the Roman Empire has been ruled by many leaders right up to the present time. This fourth great kingdom in the future will be thought of as the kingdom of Rex Mundi. No ruler of the Empire, including Julius Caesar, Caligula, Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolph Hitler, et al. personifies the true might of Roman Nicolaitan rule as he will! Rex Mundi will be the ultimate despot: He will be 'strong as iron, because iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things; and as iron crushes all these, so shall [he] break in pieces and crush'.
