But Palin won over all.
I was a bit concerned about Gov. Palin's comment that she wanted the VP office to have more power and saying she agreed with Cheney's view on this. That was a bit disturbing. I'm sure that will be discussed in the days ahead.
Biden's frequent attempts to tie McCain with Bush backfired in my opinion as Gov. Palin pointed out that Obama/Biden were supposed to be about the future but Biden kept talking about the past (ie Bush).
Both Joe Biden and Sarah Palin said they support civil rights for everyone but they both also said they oppose equal marraige rights for gays and lesbians (funny that neither seems to understand the hypocrisy of this possition). Biden specifically pointed out that Barrack Husein Obama also denies equal rights for gays and lesbians. Wasn't a surprise, but it is disapointing nonetheless to hear that the next president and vice president of the United States does not support equal rights for all Americans.
Gov. Palin did add that she does believe same gender couples should be allowed to vist each other in hospital etc (which shows she understands that such areas are where the denial of equal rights for gays and lesbians are particularly troubling). Biden did not says he agrees with her on this thus implying that Palin is at least closer to supporting LGBT rights than Biden and Barack Husein Obama.
Overall, the pressure was on Gov. Palin and she took the heat well and showed that she is ready for this position.
When its McCain and Obama, Obama is the unknown. Like him or not, we know McCain.
The more we get to know Barrack Husein Obama the more dangerous he appears!
When its Biden and Palin, Palin is the unknown. Like him or not, we know Biden.
The more we get to know Sarah Palin the more I like her.
Head to head I think they tied but with the added pressure on Gov. Palin, I think she was the winner.
Kudos to Sarah Palin!
