Justice for the Wicked?
When Will the Wicked be Held Accountable?
When Will the Wicked be Held Accountable?

Subject: Justice for the wickedQuestion:
We see many wicked prosper. Is it Biblical to believe that wicked will get their judgment in this world ALSO before their death?
Hi Nihal,
What is biblical is that we will all give an accounting before God.
KJV: Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.God grants humans, both individually and collectively, free will. People tend to downplay the importance of freewill, both for the positives and for the negatives we choose.
None of the evils in our world are God's fault and most are not directly Heylel's (Satan's) either. We are free agents individually and collectively. Injustice, prejudices of all kinds, wars, corruption, hatred, poverty, etc. all exist because of human free will.
When people, individually and collective, stop doing injustices injustice of all kinds will be no more.
When individuals turn against God the result is communities, towns, cities, states, nations and the world turning against Him because the individuals combine to form the larger groups and are responsible for what is done in the groups. The principles of free will dictate that those individuals (in the groups and separately) are free to create confederations, corporations, "old boys networks," political cabals etc that express their rejection of God and His Torah (religious principles). Rebellion against God tends to "snowball" until it becomes the avalanche we now see developing -- as the prophets foretold.
The majority of individuals in countries like the US and most of the western world are choosing to rebel against God and ignore or willfully violate His governing principles. By the justice of our God-given free will we deserve the corrupt and immoral leadership we now have. To punish the lead evil doors at this time for their sins would be counterproductive and a violation of our individual free will since we collectively have chosen to allow these corruptions to continue. Sometimes it happens, but normally until the people repent before God and begin to demand justice and compassion from their leaders these corrupt interlopers merely become more corrupt until the country, corporation, society, etc. falls, as the US is now in the process of doing.
Never doubt that with each seeming victory their condemnation increases:
KJV: Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.Consider chapters 12 and 13 of the Book of Prophet Jeremiah. I will only include a small portion here however these two chapters are quite informative in this area. He is speaking of the fall of Judea to Babylon but the principles here explained still apply:
CJB: Jeremiah 12:1 ADONAI [LORD], although you would be in the right if I were to dispute with you, nevertheless I want to discuss some points of justice with you: Why do the wicked prosper? Why do the treacherous all thrive?
2 You planted them, and they took root; they grow, and they bear fruit. You are near in their mouths, though far from their hearts...
[Jeremiah 13:1] ADONAI said to me, "Go, buy yourself a linen loincloth, and wrap it around your body; but don't soften it in water."
2 So I bought a loincloth, as ADONAI had said, and put it on.
3 Then the word of ADONAI came to me a second time:
4 "Take the loincloth you bought and are wearing, get up, go to Parah, and hide it there in a hole in the rock."
5 So I went and hid it in Parah, as ADONAI had ordered me.
6 A long time afterwards, ADONAI said to me, "Get up, go to Parah, and recover the loincloth I ordered you to hide there."
7 So I went to Parah and dug up the loincloth; but when I took it from the place where I had hidden it, I saw that it was ruined and useless for anything.
8 Then the word of ADONAI came to me:
9 "Here is what ADONAI says: 'This is how I will ruin what makes Y'hudah [Judah] so proud and Yerushalayim [Jerusalem] so very proud:
10 I will ruin this evil people, who refuse to hear my words and live according to their own stubborn inclinations, who go after other gods to serve and worship them. They will be like this loincloth, which is useless for anything.God blesses us all (Matthew 5:45). If we are wise we will be humble and realize that all of our gifts are from God. If we are foolish we will become proud, puffed up, we will decide that we don't need God, just like Heylel (Lucifer) did. If we make this poor use of our free will we will be held accountable as our "loincloths" become worthless.
So in the end (whether in this life or the next doesn't really matter) God will hold all who do and all who allow evil accountable. The removal of His blessings and protection is a terrible thing! In the meantime we have this:
KJV: II Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.If we do not repent individually and collectively our lands will not be healed.
This repentance must be done one individual at a time until as a fresh water sea repentance covers the land. Each of us must re-pledge ourselves to God and seek His Way if we wish to experience His blessings.
Hope this helps,
