Thoughts on Rick Warren's Anti-Christian New World Order Inaugural Prayer

I originally wrote this as a response to a post on the Politics and Religion Matter Group at Multiply.com and thought I'd share it here as well. First my reply, then the post, including the full prayer of Rick Warren and other points. As always I invite your thoughts.

A few thoughts:

From the Prayer: "The Scripture tells us, “Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God. The Lord is One.” And you are the compassionate and merciful one. And you are loving to everyone you have made.

JoA: By connecting these two thoughts the Pastor is denying the first. Israel is the Jewish people, the people he is turning away from in his embrace of Islam and globalism.

From the Prayer: "And we know today that Dr. King and a great cloud of witnesses are shouting in heaven."

JoA: Notice the transfer of religious jargon onto Obama. "The Great Cloud of Witnesses" celebrate the coming of a person to God, not the acceptance of political ideology: Heb 12:1

From the Prayer: "Help us, O God, to remember that we are Americans, united not by race, or religion, or blood, but to our commitment to freedom and justice for all."

JoA: So much for the U.S. being "One Nation under God" I guess.

From the Prayer: "When we fail to treat our fellow human beings and all the earth with the respect that they deserve, forgive us. "

JoA: Like Obama granting US tax dollars to kill via abortion babies around the world?

From the Prayer: "...when we forget you, forgive us."

JoA: The traditional model is when we forget you, convict us and draw us back.

From the Prayer: "and as we face these difficult days ahead, may we have a new birth of clarity in our aims, responsibility in our actions, humility in our approaches, and civility in our attitudes, even when we differ."

JoA: Its noteworthy how the rhetoric transfers religious principles to Obama: The New Birth is what is supposed to come accepted Jesus.

From the Prayer: "President Obama chooses President Abraham Lincoln’s swearing in Bible.
When George Washington was sworn in on April 30, 1789, he placed his hand on a Bible. Ever since then Presidents have used God’s Word to communicate their devoutness and sincerity as they take the Oath of Office.

JoA: After Obama flubbed his lines -- he could not bring himself to promise to "faithfully execute" his office the first time -- he was re-pledged WITHOUT a Bible. Interesting huh?



From the Poster: "Give thanks to God for our nation’s acknowledgement of the Bible as a source of truth, authority and veracity."

JoA: While we violate everything it says? Obama was NOT sworn into office on the Bible. He took the oath the next day without one.

From the Poster: "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
—The Bible, I Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV)

JoA: Its not surprising the New World Order Bible (the NIV) is used here and that the quote is cut short. The Bible inspired by God (the Authorized King James) says:

I Timothy 2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty [Not "godliness and holiness" -- politicians don't like honesty, especially Obama].
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [What truth? The quote continues]
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. [Obama, being a Muslim Ummah/al Ikhwan operative would like this part so it was removed!]

From the Poster: "We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness...
—Barack Obama, January 20, 2009

JoA: Again, he abuses the Scriptures for his own glory. Paul says to put away childish things (like sins and superstitions) and give ourselves over full to God:

I Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

He was NOT speaking of passing demonic legislation (like using US tax dollars to kill babies overseas). Obama and his globalist peers are doing everything they can to not only lead the nation away from God but to even usurpt the words of Holy Scriptures!

Pray for out nation!
We desperately need Divine Intervention
But we so do no not deserve it.

PASTOR RICK WARREN’S INAUGURAL PRAYER

Let us pray.

Almighty God, our Father, everything we see and everything we can’t see exists because of you alone. It all comes from you. It all belongs to you. It all exists for your glory.

History is your story. The Scripture tells us, “Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God. The Lord is One.” And you are the compassionate and merciful one. And you are loving to everyone you have made.

Now, today, we rejoice not only in America’s peaceful transfer of power for the 44th time. We celebrate a hingepoint of history with the inauguration of our first African American president of the United States. We are so grateful to live in this land, a land of unequaled possibility, where the son of an African immigrant can rise to the highest level of our leadership. And we know today that Dr. King and a great cloud of witnesses are shouting in heaven.

Give to our new President, Barack Obama, the wisdom to lead us with humility, the courage to lead us with integrity, the compassion to lead us with generosity. Bless and protect him, his family, Vice President Biden, the cabinet, and every one of our freely elected leaders.

Help us, O God, to remember that we are Americans, united not by race, or religion, or blood, but to our commitment to freedom and justice for all. When we focus on ourselves, when we fight each other, when we forget you, forgive us. When we presume that our greatness and our prosperity is ours alone, forgive us. When we fail to treat our fellow human beings and all the earth with the respect that they deserve, forgive us. And as we face these difficult days ahead, may we have a new birth of clarity in our aims, responsibility in our actions, humility in our approaches, and civility in our attitudes, even when we differ.

Help us to share, to serve and to seek the common good of all. May all people of goodwill today join together to work for a more just, a more healthy and a more prosperous nation and a peaceful planet. And may we never forget that one day all nations and all people will stand accountable before you. We now commit our new president and his wife, Michelle and his daughters, Malia and Sasha, into your loving care.

President Obama chooses President Abraham Lincoln’s swearing in Bible.
When George Washington was sworn in on April 30, 1789, he placed his hand on a Bible. Ever since then Presidents have used God’s Word to communicate their devoutness and sincerity as they take the Oath of Office.

President Barack Obama, who has invoked many images of President Abraham Lincoln, used the same Bible used by Lincoln on March 4, 1861 at his swearing in. The Lincoln Bible—an 1853 Oxford University Press edition is surprisingly small—about six inches by four inches—and has a red velvet cover and golden trim. It has not been used in a swearing in ceremony since it was used by President Lincoln.
Members of the Inaugural Committee and the Secret Service worked on a plan to protect the Bible from the elements, if there had been inclement weather. "Inclement weather will not keep the Lincoln Bible from being used on January 20," he said.

Following the Inauguration, the Bible will be on display at the Library of Congress from February 12-May 9 as part of an exhibition for the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. Give thanks to God for our nation’s acknowledgement of the Bible as a source of truth, authority and veracity.

Rev. Joseph Lowery, pastor and civil rights veteran, gave the benediction at Tuesday’s Inauguration, calling Americans to pray for the nation and President Obama.
God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, thou who has brought us thus far along the way, thou who has by thy might led us into the light, keep us forever in the path, we pray, lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met thee, lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget thee. Shadowed beneath thy hand may we forever stand true to thee, O God, and true to our native land.

We truly give thanks for the glorious experience we’ve shared this day. We pray now, O Lord, for your blessing upon thy servant, Barack Obama, the 44th president of these United States, his family and his administration. He has come to this high office at a low moment in the national and, indeed, the global fiscal climate. But because we know you got the whole world in your hand, we pray for not only our nation, but for the community of nations. Our faith does not shrink, though pressed by the flood of mortal ills.
