Meet the Antichrist Part Eleven:
The Mark Goes Public
By John of AllFaith © 7.21.08
And yet those who receive this Mark, those who pledge loyalty to the Beast and his government: Revelation 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
The Mark Goes Public
There is a war going on and those who accept the Mark of the Beast, who take the implant, those who pledge themselves to the coming world ruler and his regime, are enemies of the coming Moshiach. Its that simple. There are no by-standers in this war. At first the Mark will be optional, a way for those who support the Leader to demonstrate their loyalty. Those who like the new combined technologies he offers will probably want to join the new cutting edge economic system early on. It will be a status symbol. Wanna be cool? Take the Mark! These verses are not referring to the increase in new religious movements and teachings we have all seen over the past 100 years. This is a specific warning that under this harsh persecution, charismatic leaders will arise trying to convince people to follow them and reject the Rex Mundi; specifically they will claim to be the true Moshiach. This may be tempting for many prophecy-knowing Christians and Jews as they come to reject the Antichrist. Some of these would-be messiahs will seek to start revolutionary movements to oppose the Antichrist, others will form secretive religious sects and communes or to reveal supposed hidden truths. What they will all have in common is their messianic overtures.
By this point in the Great Tribulation, those who know the prophecies concerning the Antichrist will have little doubt of the leader's real identity and many will utilize this common belief, for diverse intentions, to deceive millions (and possibly become wealthy and or amass political clout in the process). And yet none of them will be the real Messiah. During this time of chaos and desperation, there will be no Messiah coming to save the world, only antichrists and false prophets. These will be the darkest days in world history. The world at this time will be exploding with chaos and political, ethnic, racial, religious and gang rivalries! Governments against citizens, citizens against one another (Matt 24:10)... indeed Prior to the Leader's resurrection from the dead, the Son of Perdition seemed invincible, like a god, but once he declares himself to be just that, a significant number of people will begin to panic at the realization that the fate of the entire planet is in the hands of a mad man... Or so they think... the answer is actually far more terrifying than that! At this point in the prophetic time line it is doubtful that anything technically human even remains of the Beast. He will arise a monster, a literal beast in human form. He will be Lucifer incarnate. Matthew 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Traditionally Christians have taught that Master Y'shua will literally appear in the sky riding a white horse with a sword protruding from his mouth to destroy the Beast and his False Prophet. They typically cite this verse as authority. Consider however that the earth is a sphere. Should a being appear in the sky over Jerusalem (or anywhere else) those on the opposite side would not be able to see the event. As explained at the outside, a good rule of thumb when studying the prophecies is that if it makes sense literally, take it literally. Literally this scene can not work out as described, so we look for an interpretation that is harmonious with the context of the prophecy. These interpretations should be based on the same scriptures. The next verse clarifies the correct understanding: 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
The biblical Moshiach will come and do battle with the Beast. His troops will move with lightening speed and irresistible force powered by the God of Israel. Everyone will know this victory has happened when they see the carnage wrought upon his enemies. In a related study, we will consider the War of Armageddon, the identity of the Messiah and so on, so I will resist the urge to go into this topic here. For now the point is that the biblical Moshiach will be a great Jewish warrior whom HaShem will raise up for the express purpose of defeating the Rex Mundi, his New World Order and all those who would bring destruction to the earth. Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
And so,
Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken
The prophecies refer to two tribulation periods. The first is referred to as "the tribulation." This period begins with the signing of the peace treaty between Israel and their enemies. During this time, the world ruler seems like a saint. The Jews and countless others, including Christians and Muslims, accept him as the long awaited Messiah and friend of the earth. This tribulation period will last forty-two months or three and a half years. This period is also referred to as "a time, times and a half time" or three and a half times. In this present study, we haven't discussed the divine torments poured out onto the earth during these times. During the first half of the tribulation period the leader is generally considered a political savior, however life is far from pleasant and those then alive will experience sorrows or tribulation during this time as well. The difference will be that the future will look bright. But then it all goes terribly wrong. The second half of the seven years is called "the Great Tribulation" and likewise lasts forty-two months, three and half years or a time, times and a half a time (compare Rev 12:14). During this period not only does the Son of Perdition reveal his true nature, not only do the nations of the earth rebel and chaos reign, but the wrath of the Almighty God will also be poured out over the earth! Here however the reference is not to either period of the seven-year tribulation but to the tribulations or sufferings experienced by the participants in the war of Armageddon. I will discuss the Divine Judgments elsewhere. The revelation of the Moshiach will end the war and countless mighty signs will be witnessed in the heavens and on earth. This is reminiscent of the great earthquake that followed Master Y'shua's murder (Matt 27:51) and other events (Acts 5:19 etc.). Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
The God of the Whole Earth
Following the universal flood described in most ancient scriptures, HaShem entered into a covenant relationship with the Noahides, which is to say, with Noah and his descendants: all of humanity. As a sign of this covenant, God placed the rainbow in the heavens as a reminder of the Noahide Covenant. Now with the Moshiach on earth and Israel's enemies defeated a new sign will be placed in the heavens. Note that this verse doesn't say that the son of man will appear in the sky, but that the sign of the son of man will appear there. What this sign will be we aren't told, however seeing it, the people of the earth will be humbled. Then all will see the sign of the son of man even as all see the rainbow. Also, the scriptures don't say the War of Armageddon will occur at Tel Megiddo. It say the forces that invade the Holy Land to confront the Rex Mundi will gather their troops there and then march on Jerusalem for the final battle. We'll discuss this war below. The purport is clear. Due to the intense persecutions wrought upon international Jewry by the Antichrist and global Novus Ordo Seclorum government, the surviving Jews will have gone into hiding. Of course many will never have left the Diaspora. One remnant of Israeli Jews will have fled to the Mountain fortress known as Petra. Upon learning that Moshiach has come at long last to rescue the Jews from annihilation, the Elect from around the world will make their way to the Holy City in joyous thanksgiving. The Times of the Gentiles will have ended and the Millennial Messianic Kingdom will then begin.
