What Does it Mean to be a Muslim By Muhammad Yahya Saleem (John of AllFaith) © 02.19.09 One is a Muslim who embraces Shahada: What is Shahada: "La ilaha il Allah, Muhammad -ur-Rasool-Allah" What does this mean? "La ilaha il Allah": There is no deity other than Allah "Muhammad-ur-Rasool-Allah": [Prophet] Muhammad (SAW) is the [final] Messenger of Allah What is the meaning of "There is no deity other than Allah (SWT)?" It means that there is NO god, goddess etc worthy of worship or even respect except Allah (SWT) AS He is revealed by Prophet Muhammad (SWT) and al Islam. It means that one denies the legitimacy and authenticity of ANY and ALL other religions and declares that Only Allah as presented in al Qur'an, al Sunna (and al Hadith if one is Sunni) is the True God. To say: "I am Muslim" is to deny HaShem (The God of Israel), Visnu (of Vaisnava Hinduism), Siva (of Saivite Hinduism), Ahura Mazda (of Zoroastrianism), the Christian Jesus, the Pagan conception of the Lord and Lady, and ALL other conceptions/understandings of God as well as their priests, prophets etc. such as the Buddha, Guru Nanak, Lao Tsu etc. etc. What is the meaning of "[Prophet] Muhammad is the [final] Messenger of Allah (SWT)?" It means one commits to TOTAL submission ("islam") to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in WHATEVER he (SAW), his Deen or Ummah requires, and avoiding WHATEVER he (SAW), his Deen or Ummah forbids and believing in ALL THINGS that he (SAW) his Deen or Ummah teaches. In short ABSOLUTE and TOTAL submission. One who is not, to the best of his/her ability, TOTALLY submitted to Islam, including al Sharia (Islamic Law), is not a Muslim technically. But of course, Allah (SAW) is Most Merciful with human weakness... as long as one submits to Islam... What are the Seven Conditions of the Testimony of Faith (Shahada): 1. Knowledge which negates ignorance. This means ONLY accepting as true information provided by Islam. 2. Certainty which negates doubt. This means one is forbidden (in some cases on pain of death) to even question the information provided by Islam. 3. Sincerity and purity of intent which negates Shirk. This means the error of polytheism, i.e. the belief in the legitimacy ANY other form of God, ESPECIALLY as conceived in Hinduism -- which is believed to be even sinful than Judaism! 4. Truthfulness which negates hypocrisy. This means being honest in all things AND in perfect harmony with the teachings of Islam. It also includes provisions such as Taquiyya (justifiable deception to advance Islam) as legitimate methods of opposing falsehood (i.e. non-Islamic beliefs and paradigms). 5. Love and devotion which negates disdain of Allah's (SWT) religion. This means that one is strictly forbidden to criticize, harm and/or in any way oppose other Muslims no matter what they do. This is why so-called Moderate Muslims refuse to criticize the Jihadis etc. Islam proposes love and peace to all fellow Muslims. Non-Muslims can be reverted (converted) "by word or by sword" or subjugated as third class citizens of the Ummah. Non-Muslims have NO rights. 6. Submission which negates disobedience. This means ABSOLUTE SUBMISSION TO ISLAM. Period. 7. Acceptance which negates rejection or denial. This means ABSOLUTE acceptance of Sharia Law without question or conditions. This is what "I am a Muslim" means. Are you a Muslim? AGAIN, I DO honor those who follow the Deen of Islam. It is a strict and devout religion of generally pious people whose lives are testimonies of their Faith. IF one understands what Islam is AND IS NOT (it is not a liberal, open religion that accepts diversity nor that seeks global peace apart from absolute subjugation) then I honor that decision HOWEVER I so not share it. AllFaith.com The AllFaith Group Religious Studies John of AllFaith's Blog ومن المسلم الذي يتبنى شحادة : ما هي الشهادة : "لوس انجليس ilaha ايل الله ، محمد رسول جولة أوروغواي - الله" ماذا يعني هذا؟ "لوس انجليس ilaha ايل الله" : لا يوجد إله غير الله "جولة أوروغواي - محمد رسول الله" : (النبي) محمد (شاهد) [النهائي] رسول الله ما معنى "لا إله غير الله بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم)؟" هذا يعني أن لا إله إلا هو ، إلهة وما يستحق العبادة ، أو حتى احترام إلا الله بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) ، فهو الذي كشفت عنه للنبي محمد (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) و آل الاسلام. وهو ما يعني أن أحد ينكر شرعية وصحة أي وسائر الأديان ، وتعلن أن الله كما عرضها القرآن الكريم في حي الجامعة العربية السنة (و آل الحديث إذا كان أحد من السنة) والله هو صحيح. يقول : "أنا مسلم" لحرمان هاشم (إن الله لإسرائيل) ، Visnu (من Vaisnava الهندوسية) ، وسيفا (Saivite الهندوسية) ، اهورا مازدا (الزرادشتية) ، وكريستيان يسوع ، باغان مفهوم الرب وسيدة ، وسائر المفاهيم / التفاهمات الله فضلا عن الكهنة والأنبياء ، وما مثل بوذا ، جورو Nanak ، لاو تسو الخ الخ ما معنى "[النبي] محمد [النهائي] رسول الله بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم)؟" وهذا يعني احدة تلتزم بتقديم المجموع ( "الإسلام" (النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم في كل ما له (شاهد) ، فإن الدين أو الأمة يتطلب ، وتجنب كل ما (شاهد) ، ويحظر الدين أو الأمة والإيمان بكل ما هو انه (رأى) له بتدريس الدين أو الأمة. باختصار المطلق والكامل لتقديمها. لمن لا ، على أفضل ما لديه من قدرتها كليا إلى الإسلام ، بما فيها الشريعة ، وهي ليست مسلمة من الناحية الفنية. ولكن بطبيعة الحال ، والله (شاهد) الرحيم مع الضعف البشري... ما دام واحد يقدم للاسلام... ما هي الشروط السبعة للافادة من الإيمان (الشهادة) : 1. المعرفة ينفي الجهل. وهذا يعني قبول ينطبق فقط المعلومات التي يقدمها الاسلام. 2. ينفي الشك من اليقين. وهذا يعني واحدا ممنوع (في بعض الحالات ، تحت طائلة الموت) ، بل التشكيك في المعلومات التي يقدمها الاسلام. 3. صدق ونقاء ينفي نية الشرك. وهذا يعني الخطأ من الشرك ، أي الاعتقاد في شرعية أي شكل آخر من الله ، لا سيما وأن تصور في الهندوسية -- الذي يعتقد أنه مذنب ، بل من اليهودية! 4. صحة ينفي النفاق. وهذا يعني أن يكونوا صادقين في كل شيء في وئام تام مع تعاليم الإسلام. كما يتضمن أحكاما مثل Taquiyya (الخداع مبررا للنهوض الإسلام) وسائل مشروعة للمعارضة الباطل (أي غير الاسلامية والمعتقدات ونماذج). 5. الحب والإخلاص ينفي الازدراء الله بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) الدين. وهذا يعني أن واحدا يمنع منعا باتا توجيه النقد ، والأذى و / أو بأي طريقة أخرى معارضة المسلمين مهما فعلوا. وهذا هو السبب في ما يسمى مسلمون معتدلون يرفضون انتقاد الإسلام والجهاديين وما يقترح المحبة والسلام لجميع الاخوة المسلمين. غير المسلمين يمكن أن عادت (تحويل) "لفظة أو السيف" أو إخضاع مواطنين من الدرجة الثالثة للأمة. غير المسلمين ليست لهم أية حقوق. 6. تقديم ينفي العصيان. وهذا يعني مطلقة على تقديمها إلى الإسلام. الفترة. 7. ينفي رفض قبول أو رفض. وهذا يعني مطلقة على قبول الشريعة دون سؤال أو شروط. وهذا هو ما "أنا مسلم". هل أنت مسلم؟ مرة أخرى ، أنا الشرف الذين اتباع دين الإسلام. وهو متدين صارمة والورع والدين عموما من الناس الذين تتعرض حياتهم للشهادات دينهم. وإذا كان أحد يفهم ما هو الإسلام ، وليس (وهي ليست ليبرالية ، وفتح الدين وتقبل التنوع ، ولا يسعى للسلام العالمي بعيدا عن القهر المطلق) ثم شرف لي ولكن هذا القرار حتى لا نصيب له.
